I missed yesterday's epi and would have watched it online, but reading the update, I really dont want to see Sushma's or Padma's face....and all the nonsense that they are talking.

I didn't like the episode of June 10, where Uday's mom, who had hitherto seemed a very decent lady, suddenly shows a rather unflattering side to herself, when she first objects to Jyoti being given the bangles before she got married, and later in the car, wondering whether Jyoti is marrying only for the money? I wonder whether this will lead to the wedding becoming an elopement, w/ the nuptials in the tent, as was shown the last few weeks since Jyoti walked out.

Given Jyoti's reluctance to discuss her family w/ her in-laws, aside from what her m-i-l and f-i-l already know, I think it's unlikely that she'll even tell them that she's getting married, let alone invite them. However, I think it would be nice if Sudha got to turn up - maybe as Uday's Devika date. One way to do this would be Sudha turning into Devika the night of the wedding for one reason or another, and joining Uday just as they are on their way to the wedding, and attending it as Devika. Given Devika's mannerisms, it's likely that neither Jyoti nor Kalpana will really recognize her.

I'm hoping this doesn't get into a situation where in addition to wondering how to extracate Sushma from Brij, Jyoti also ends up wondering how to get Sudha away from Uday, or more precisely his mom.

Speaking of Sushma, the precap showed her in a hotel, with patrons throwing cash her way, making her feel like she's in a strip joint. Brij scolds her for worrying about her studying for tomorrow's exams. Actually, now, I'm hoping that something kills Brij, which Sushma can't blame on Jyoti, so that she is forced to get home. As it is, Jyoti doesn't want to have anything more to do w/ them, other than toss cash their way, so I just hope Sudha too can elope w/ Uday, while Sushma returns home disgraced.

Pankaj's choti maa is not a mean person or anything...She is just sceptical that a pretty, independant girl like jyoti agreed to marry a blind man. What she was saying was very realistic from an outsider's point of view. Other than that, I dont think she is against Jyoti or anything.

I just now saw the Sunday telethon of Jyoti, and I didn't get this - didn't Jyoti ask Kalpana for Sudha to be present? If so, what business did Kalpana have telling her that her father would be left totally alone? What, he needs Sudha to feed him - he's got his mom, why does he need the company of the daughter whom he never lifted a finger for?

I'm rather miffed at Kalpana - she should have smuggled in Sudha, telling her home that she's needed w/ Jyoti for a few days. Padma wouldn't have dared to stop her. Now, Sudha too will miss the wedding 😭😡

P.S. I hated the nightmare of Jyoti marrying Brij in the temple. Now, granted, it's just a dream, but how does anyone wear his shoes in a temple, and that too while walking around a sacred fire? And I hated seeing a sword on Brij 🤢🤢🤢

P.P.S. Jyoti had her haldi, but didn't Pankaj have one too? Or is it only the brides who have it in that part of the country?

I hope that Brij really gives it to Sushma...She should get more for lying about Jyoti to her mom. She cant blame this on Jyoti, if Brij beats her up.

Re-watching the episode, I agree w/ you. I think that Jyoti's reluctance to talk about her own family might have made her suspicious, since most brides would normally be happy to given the opportunity on such an occasion.

I hope the opportunity comes soon for her to get to meet and know the real Sudha (not Devika), and have her win Uday's heart. She doesn't have any such suspicions about Sudha, who returned her credit card, so if Sudha describes Jyoti to her, that might fix things. Of course, that would require Sudha getting her confidence back to the point that she can start defending herself, and those she loves as well (and I'm not talking her family, I'm talking Jyoti)

I watch this soap and quite like it. Its so different than others at the time when others soaps are almost in the boring track Jyoti comes as a flame of an interesting saga.

I hated the first part of today's (June 15) episode! 😡😡😡

I know Kalpana is being a sweetheart and all that, but she has been giving Jyoti rotten advice. Jyoti wants to honestly tell Pankaj about her history w/ Brij, and Kalpana is telling her not to? Is this woman for real? Has she gone mad? And it's not just today - when Pankaj first proposed, then too Jyoti wanted to open up, and Kalpana asked her whether or not she was over Brij. As though that is the issue.

If Pankaj finds out later about the relationship from someone other than Jyoti, he is going to suspect the worst about her, and what's worse, assume that because he's blind, she took him for granted. In these situations, the best thing is to 'confess' past relationships upfront, so that they ain't an issue down the road. As it is, people have been speculating on what might turn Pankaj against Jyoti later on, and I can see it right here - it's her following the rotten advice of someone who is supposedly a psychologist. 😕

And this isn't the only one - Jyoti wanted to invite Sudha, and Kalpana insisted on her not leaving KK alone. Hello, Kalps, if Jyoti hadn't felt betrayed by her father, she'd have invited him! In fact, the same betrayal that Jyoti had been subjected to from her father, Sudha had been as well, so if Jyoti doesn't feel that he deserves to be at her wedding, let alone give her away, why does it make sense for Kalpana to butt in and say that Sudha doesn't have the right to 'abandon' him, after what he did to both of them?

Something tells me that when things blow up later, Jyoti won't even be able to fall back on Kalpana
