Twenty days. Nearly three weeks had it been since Bindiya and her medicines had gone missing. Three further attempts had been made by their men thereon, to try and sneak in, in order to get in touch with Harka bitiya. Two of those attempts had failed. And during the third one, all that they had managed to spot was a brief nod from Gauri before the gates of the prison fort had shut on them forever. A 'nod' that could probably translate into 'Yes... the medicines have been received'

Making matters worse, when Azeez had chatted up with a fort guard few days ago, he'd come to know that the Ustaad was barely sitting up. When one couldn't even fend for himself yet, how would he possibly fend off the mighty blows of death in the fighting pits now?

Chapters 44 to 56..An ocean of commendable varieties of posts spanning 11 threads --from 39 to 50, each one running to nearly 200 pages..with extended threads of chat corners..Not an easy achievement for sure! Kudos to the Author!

The events that happened in the lives of our protagonists..

He and she travelled on a Roller-coaster.. taking us along with them. What an amalgamation of emotions!

.She starts to understand him, feeling remorse over his very tragic childhood which he kept hidden from her, more because he feared that she would be hurt on hearing it than from anything else..They start their journey together on a pleasant note.. alas, fate played its role in the form of a messenger escaping from the safe house...The evil elements conspire against the loyal Ustaad and poison the mind of the shehzade.. The torture they experience in the prison, the ways their well wishers plan to bring relief to them..At every stage of their lives, the readers travelled with them..

The Salient features..

*The spectacular New Banner for the Novel in January..designed by Lashy.

*A new abridged version of the chapters of the novel was posted by Karkuzhali. Coincidentally, this year started with the original Chapter 44 in January, and ended with the abridged version of the same chapter in December.

* Lavanya was regular to gift us with her sayaaris, titled, , "Ajnabi", and noticeably her last one is about the same chapter..

* Bindu Prasad continued her morning routine everyday without fail.. The quotations she posted, have produced a "Kavi Sammelan" with our shahi poets Sandhya, Lana, Vatsy and so on..

* Selvi, having an extraordinary skill in photography, stunned us with excellent original snap shots-

* Our Rose , was seen playing multiple roles-- a judge, trophy maker, timekeeper, Record keeper, in addition to playing a role in Sandhya's TIP.

* And Sandhya..She had turned into a more and more 'polished' poetess over the year..Her poems were a delicacy to cherish..

* Kausi's motto continued to be "Talk less..Work more.."

New Additions to the family..

* The US resident Rekha's first 'silent post' appeared in February..Her first verbal post in March..

*hazoorkidpan aka Rupinder's first post was in May ..

* krutik aka Savitri entered the forum in August..

* The Aussie boy James made his sudden appearance in October and took the credit of being the only male member among the baisas .. " Gangaikkarai Thottam..KannippeNgaL koottam..KaNNan naduvinile.."

(On the banks of River Ganges, Lord Krishna is there surrounded by gopikas!"

His followed a unique way to comment on the chapters..

Some misses..

The last quarter of the year saw a little drop in the readership which touched a peak during the first few months..

The noticeable absentees in the active thread were Lana and Kukhi, who used to contribute their best after each chapter..

Others..

There were a lot of time pass moments during 2018- Quizzes, Anagrams, cross words, word puzzles, musings, jig-saw puzzles, riddles , which kept the thread charged with enthusiasm and alertness..

Hope the same thrill, joy, friendship , exhibition of talents, everything continues in this year 2019 as well!
