Chachajaan also wished to see AMK get married and settled happily. That is why he revealed his painful past to Heera even though Ibrahim prevented him doing so. He heart fully wished to bring the leads together soulfully. He knew only Heera could bring peace and happiness to AMK. He really wished for AMK s happiness. His love to AMK was unconditional. He was not recruited for any kind of work like Azeez,Mira
So my choice is chachajaan.

Well, regarding best favorite supporting character who carries the story forward is definitely the messenger who escaped from the safe house and met Kunwar Mahendar.

Loved the reasoning for Durga as well! Even I thought she was the female protagonist when the story started only to realise she will be no more and it is Heera who is the female lead. Heera is a little subdued and quiet but Durga came out justifying her name with full spirit, courage, enthusiasm and liveliness!

But I know and can feel if AMK had met Durga he would have felt immense respect for her but not love. He would have fell for quiet and intelligent Heera because he prefers that quietude to sprightliness. 😃 I can see while talking to Durga he would have known Heera is checking him out through her veil with a hint of a smile playing on her lips. And suddenly he would just look straight at her for a moment conveying so before turning away again! 😃
If he was walking through the corridor with Durga followed by Heera behind them he would have stopped at the two paintings looked at them but this time his eyes would be for Heera's one and there would have been a slight sideglance at her while Heera would feel and know that it is her He is watching!!
Okay, oh my gosh, I start with my imaginary rambling again! I better stop! 😃

Durga and AMK were talking about the Marwari racer and she thanked him for a prime horse. She saw Bahadur and complimented about its majestic stance and its graceful gallop! About its significant size and yet how light it is on its feet! And it is friendly as well! On this last comment, all AMK responded was, it is friendly only to few, it is picky and choosy and will not entertain strangers. Durga commented on hearing him, "it means, He is very much like his master" and smiled. He didn't say anything to that and simply looked away but there was a slight smirk that stayed on his face.
Heera heard the whole interaction and quietly slipped out to Bahadur while Durga and AMK carried on with some more discussion!
Little later, He comes out to leave and sees Heera has already established a good camaraderie with Bahadur and she was stroking him and he was also nuzzling her.
Seeing this Durga laughed and turned to AMK saying, "Oh you are wrong! Your Bahadur does seem to warm to strangers and is quite friendly!" All he said keenly looking at them, "So, I see!" Heera heard all this and when he comes near to mount on Bahadur, she quietly steps back with a smile that conveyed "It likes me and he only met me now"! He pats his back and before mounting all he quietly said only for Heera's ears, "Yes, it is very much like his Master!" And without a glance, he so spritely mounted on him and rode away!
But his words left a lasting impression on her mind! So he just said since Bahadur liked her, and Bahadur is like him and so it means He likes her too! She blushed all red just at the thought of it!!

Well for one, yes, she was betrothed to Mahendra and the wedding proposal was accepted but also Durga lived for Parnagarh and under no circumstances, willingly she would have fallen for a Mughal man without any kind of pressure. She would have known about the repercussions she would face from Parnagarhis and as an heiress, she would not have knowingly done anything to jeopardize Parnagarh or her position and reputation! She was an epitome of patriotism and loyalty for Parnagarh!

Whereas in Heera's case, again as the heiress of Parnagarh and to save it, she was forced and chose to marry AMK! A sheer irony it is, the same reason for which Durga would not have married AMK, for that same reason Heera did, other than the fact that she handed her heart to him long time back! 😃
