I'm beginning to understand a bit more of this system because the West tends to grade music as well... and now, with Vidhur beginning to show some interest in Saxophone, I am planning to look into it more...
What I have learnt is Carnatic music from very traditional teachers from down South - and this grading system is not popular there... we learn and learn and learn for years on end.. till the teacher considers us good enough to perform/sing with her on stage etc etc 😊

Same in Bengal too, we learn and learn unless we are told by the teachers we can perform on stage or the kids decide after years of learning that they are confident to perform in public. Unless of course you take up music as Bachelors or in Masters in Vishwabharati University, then obviously it is different and professional.
Lashy, I told you innumerable times your health, mental peace comes first, so don't stress over the update, please!! We are all here, even if you shoo us away we will still stubbornly be here! 😆 So rest, relax, sleep, take care of yourself and your family first then think of updating!! I am very serious! And if you don't listen I will send my regimen of tomato men! 😳 I seriously don't know how you manage all this by yourself! I could never have managed!!
If you are stress free then only you will be able to concentrate on the update without having to focus on other pending issues! 😃 So chill, we are all here nesting and roosting as usual wth out chitchats! 😃
