What was the point of Farooq travelling to Mecca if he cannot understand the ulterior sense humans are one sans religion? Unfortunate that religion is still deeply rooted in the society where it shows its ugly head during all critical issues.
I so loved the way you started this off, Aparna... really... it was a sublime way to put forth your thoughts... and such a valid question too... isn't it?
Having known Khan sahib for 10 years, Shehzade should understand that whatever his reasons were for the treason, his Ustad would put himself in the front to protect Shehzade, if the need arise. But alas, truth was revealed to Shehzade in such a twisted way.
Have you heard of one of the traits of narcissists? They will put those people through the worst, who serve them honestly the most... and Shehzaade is possibly the Himalayan epitome of a narcissist!
What is Khalil planning to do to Heera? Hasn't he committed enough crimes that he is eyeing on a married female; that too his Ustad's wife?
What difference does marital staus play to a plunderer, Aparna? Why... even today, aren't married women just at risk when setting foot outside the house as are young college girls (and as we learn by the news, young kids too!)
A woman - a stunning woman - a woman who defied him - a woman who got away - that woman now married to his sworn enemy! Just one of those traits should be enough for Khalil to eye her. And Heera has all of those!😕
It clearly explains what all people could do to gain power/position be it Mahendar/Kalil 😒
Of course
Amongst all the critical happenings at the capital, a blueprint of the canal at Parnagarh is a respite 😊 One could clearly visualize how would this canal be dug up.
Thank you... I did hope that part didn't start boring readers... I am glad you found it a positive respite instead😳
His men proved time and again that they are dependable and the work would be done at any cost
Yes! 👍🏼
but sadly Ustad had to lose eight members of his group. He is a true mentor/leader that he re-instigates faith and belief in them during their lows.😭Little did Heera knew back then that her naivety would cost her so much at a later point of her life.
But Aparna, I wouldn't term it as naivety😳... simply because at that point in time, her circumstances were different...
She had no one else by her side then... (apart from her kakisa kakasa...) and with diplomacy as her only advantage, what other means would a 16 year old girl have to find some form of justice for her sister's death😳? So, she did what a journalist would do... trying to bring the crimes out to her people so she would receive support...
Had she never met AMK, had she married into a rich Rajput family and settled down as per kakasa kakisa's wishes instead, those letters would have got her the backing of some powerful Hindu allies in court, voices who might've been able to put Khalil out of work - at least for a while - if not permanently! Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't other Khalils... but you get the idea... 😊
Of course, she ended up falling hard and fast in love with AMK... and by doing so alienated herself from her people... now her letters are alienating them from his people!😕
But true to being Ustad's wife, instead of grieving for what has been done, she chose to be his strength at the time of adversity and did not succumb to her yearning to be comforted by him before his departure 😭
😭
Also the Ustad's finesse in explaining the probabilities and measures to be taken in those situations is commendable and also his inner turmoil to keep his begum's character intact without being tarnished as a traitor is 👏
Thank you so so much dear... it's not easy being them in their situations... I agree😭
Your portray of our leads emotions is so admirable that I wouldn't be able to do justice to what you've written by trying to explain what I felt reading it ⭐️
Oh my God...☺️ thank you so so so much Aparna! 🤗
Azeez, though mischevious, knows what his Ustad/bhabhijaan needs at that time frame.
Here Azeez was quite unlike his mischievous self... 😆
Stoic, he was... as Ustaad's man, he knows how bad the situation is, na
Have to wait for what part 4 of the book has got and how our Ustad is going to turn gears to protect his begum and himself 😊
Ufff what a clever way to put your thoughts across! Loved the analogy
Thanks a ton for this lovely review that made my day🤗... take care da
