Yes TIP... but if he was like a brother this would be the end of any imagination or HBAS for me🤓... From where I come, a cousin is not a brother! 😆 🤔

Alright AMK/TIP cousin etc is obviously just in jest... 😆 so, forget all of that... Sandy/Lana/I just joke around & laugh about my character Naomi/ Lana's Miss Peannuttaker/AMK and the other characters in it.

But seriously 😊... in the South, until a generation ago (and even now in smaller towns/villages), it was/is acceptable for certain cousins to be hitched... boys/girls I know got wedded to someone in their family... I don't know how it is amongst Bengalis... it is also allowed/practised amongst Indian Muslims (because my friend was married to her cousin) 😊

It's only in this generation, that it's getting not-so-common

I don't know if Lana di knows of any such thing happening; but otherwise, here in Bengal, cousins are equivalent to siblings, so marriages within the family is pretty rare. If such alliances happen, they are mostly love marriages - without the family's consent😊... Two famous Bengalis had married their cousins in the past, both the cases it caused a lot of family problems - one of them happens to be the celebrated film maker Satyajit Ray!

So you see, i was a li'l taken aback by what you said😆. Thanks for explaining though, and yes, this pretty much explains PBD Jodha's engagement to her cousin story! 😆

There are two types of cousins...😆

Only your mother's brother's sons and father's sister's sons are not considered as brothers.

Rest of the cousins are brothers!

It's still common, di..this evening itself I was told abt the wedding of our family friend's daughter being fixed with her bua's son/baava.
