It seems like ' maybe/maybe not' is going to be a staple in their discussions in the comming days 😆 . His delaying tactics to get the welcome from Heera was so beautifully done.

Hail the adventurer for defeating the poet- inviting Heera to be his travelling companion in life, to be one with him in every sense of the word. And hail the author for formulating such a heavenly proposal that was irresistible to the adventurer's wife.

And thereafter the author decided to indulge the transfixed readers' romantic fantasies, taking the Sahib and his Sahiba on a journey so beautiful and pleasurable, leaving one and all enraptured.

Tracing the moment of their instant connection and attraction - 4 dams did it for her, her topaz-coloured eyes for him, their intoxicating travel continued with Khan Sahib coaxing Heera ever so gently to take the lead, to willingly expose his scar-riddled body for her scrutiny and gauge her reaction. And her acceptance of him in such a loving manner led to one physical barrier after another being broken until their journey reached its ecstatic pinnacle. But through it all, he was the ideal lover - patient, understanding, gentle, calming and reassuring her when things got a bit overwhelming.

The morning after, a much contented Khan Sahib leaves to fulfill his call of duty, feeling like a man reborn. Their night of passion and the unburdening of his dark and wretched past to his beloved were definitely cathartic and contributed to his present calm state of mind.

As if the author's words were not heady enough, the readers were given 2 divine pictures to feast their eyes on- the banner ( my favourite, claims the author ) and the chamber scene ( our favourite, claim the Sahibas).

Darling author, all the rave reviews have shown how special C44 is. The physical intimacy was so tastefully and exquisitely written; indeed, first-class writing. Thank you so much dearest author for this chapter that has cast a spell on us and we don't want the spell broken any time soon. 👏 🤗

Kalgiakka on the other hand has met him innumerable times - right from the word go, on suspicious terms - yet, she's spoken of butterflies, tattoos, rings, furtive paths, friendships, birthdays, girilie secrets and whatnot when he's volunteered no information about himself in return!😆

The terms are suspicious to us as we have read his thoughts. But to her, he was a stranger to the place finding his way to the haveli the first time. Second time the stranger familiarising with the place who caught her sneaking about, yet behaved gentleman like. Then she learnt that he was someone commissioned by the Mansabdar himself on a work of importance. The third time on a casual stroll who cheered her up in her friend's absence. Then they met twice by the riverside over casual talks and at no time did he behave suspiciously or press her for information. Whatever she said was of her own accord...things that she wouldn't suspect be of value or importance all in her excitement. Again signet rings and saazishes are not her cup of tea. She has led a simple happy life away from schemings and politics and evil. So she passes the ring on to the next person who can infer something from it.

AMK wouldn't do a tenth of what she is doing as he has seen politics at its worst with all its schemings and betrayals.

Had TIP AMK done 1/4th of what Kalgiakka is doing now, trust me he'd deserve not just hard-shakes but a few brickbats coming his way too! 🤣

Kalgiakka, on the other hand is a sweet teen in love... so she has to contend with all the angry-stares coming her way!
