Earlier at the peanut farm mansion...

The pleasant laughter of the ladies rang through the mansion. Ms.Lana Peanutakker had a visitor. Her neighbor and flower farm mistress Kalgiakka had brought with her a boquet of exotic flowers from her farm.

"Your eyes have never sparkled so brightly on seeing my flowers earlier. Am i to read more into them?" she teased. Lana turned crimson. "Ooh! Your cheeks are redder than the reddest of my roses. Who is it dear? You once helped me out of a crisis. I would like to do something for you in return. "

Lana's eyes dropped. A tear drop swelled at the corner. "Yes. There is someone. Someone who makes my days brighter and my nights dreamier. But there is another girl in his life. I wouldn't want to intrude. i do not wish to take his name."

"Hush Lana darling. No more tears. I wish to see your wonderful smile before i leave."

Lana's thoughts kept wandering on her certain someone long after her friend left. She had to check her accounts and write a letter to the pipes dealer for some works in her farm. But her mind refused to move away from Khan Sahib. But he was Heera's. She wasn't sure if she was right to think of him so...

With such tumultuous thoughts she stood in her balcony to see if the calm of the night air would give her some peace. Just then the she saw a boat down the river with a couple absorbed in each other...he looked familiar..."oh! Azeez Shah, Khan Sahib's trusted and her friend. He trusted her and always poured out his heart to her and sought her advice...so this was the girl he said he was in love with...he said she was unwell...may be she is better now...so he has brought her out for a moon night...would Khan Sahib too take her out like this some day...even as a part of his assignment...sigh!!!!"

Further tears rolled down her cheeks that sparkled in the moonlight.

Kalgikka happened to come back to pickup her purse she had forgotten. She stood rooted to the spot and was touched by the image of her friend in pain and tears at the balcony, as she walked on the pathway to the mansion. Suddenly her attention was arrested by a boat on the river and a handsome couple in it. She looked up and saw Lana's tears as she saw the couple on the boat.

"So this is him. Is he..." She fumed

"So this is him" she fumed. "The one who brought tears in my Lana's eyes. Who is the girl with him. Let me take a closer look."

Kalgiakka strained her eyes in the dark and found a little boat tied to a pole on the side of the river close to the mansion. Surreptitiously she followed the boat rowing with as less noise as possible.

"Those flowers that the girl is happily dropping into the water seem to be from my garden! Ah yes! I remember! This chap was collecting these orchids and jasmines from my retail shop in the evening... ..where are those jasmines?..."

In the boat

Shah Sahib was giving her sweet Sahiba the flowers one by one. He thought "Let her enjoy these first. I'll take out the jasmine pouch next."

Azeez was delighted. Everything was perfect that night. The flowers, Kuki's smile, the boat ride, the moon...as he looked up, he saw the mistress of the farm at her balcony." What was that...tears in her eyes...". She had been such a pillar of support for him these days. Giving him ideas to please his Sahiba, giving him a shoulder to cry on the f ew times when her wee wees were becoming very difficult to endure...she was a part of Khan Sahib's team and very efficient...why would she cry! Now it was his turn to cheer her up...

"SHAH SAHIB!"

Azeez was jolted out of his reviere by the sharp tone of Kuki who till then was a personification of innocence and cuteness. She no w looked like a mixture of icy cold anger and smoldering rage.

"Whom are you looking at?"

"This lady is supposed to be a beauty. There she is up at the balcony. I was just looking up to see how insufficient she is when compared to you!" Azeez gulped remembering her reaction the previous time he looked at another lady.

Kuki Sahiba was stumped! She was unsure how to react. She simply shrugged that sent the little froggie earlier perched on her shoulders into a trajectory into the darkness.

SPLASH...

" Shah Sahib! Such a small froggie jumped with such a huge splash! Funny! Isn't it? " Kuki chuckled

"Errr...yes" Azeez hastened to agree. But his mind was intent on storing away the jasmines for another purpose.

In the darkness

Kalgiakka was watching the pair intently from the darkness careful not to be seen. She noted the melting expression in the man's eyes when he looked up at the mansion balcony and the brewing anger in the girl's eyes. "How mean she is!..." she murmured.

She couldn't overhear them clearly but could guess what was going on. And suddenly . ...SPLASH...something came flying towards her from that girl's shoulder that stuck to her forehead and toppled her down into the waters.

Eeeks! A froggie...and she was wet.all over. 'You'll have to pay for this girl' Kalgiakka muttered as she returned home wet and shivering in the cold of the night.

In the mansion

Lana wasn't hungry. Yet settled down for dinner unwillingly at the insistence of her housekeeper when her eyes fell on the letters she had received earlier that day and hadn't looked into.

"Please read out whom they are from."

"One is from the pipes dealer, another from the seeds merchant, and the third is from an AMK. "

Lana dropped her fork and spoon and snatched the paper. With an uncontrollable flutter she read through the beautiful writing...

"Lana Sahiba

I am leaving on an important assignment today with 2 of my boys. I shall be very pleased and thankful if you could accompany us and help us with your assistance and expertise.

Lana couldn't believe her eyes. A week with Khan Sahib! Her heart was soaring to the skies! I shall savour every moment of this assignment. She swirled and danced and was suddenly very hungry.

"Get me something more to eat. I am very hungry" she told the surprised housekeeper.
