Lashy I can so relate to every points you made there about the teacher's post! This pertains to USA education system!! This is what I go through every day! And I can add so many more to that lists! We literally have to walk on eggshells here dealing with parents who are in denial and will always be ever ready to turn the tables on us! And then will sue the school district which in turn affect the respective teachers involved. Half the baggage comes from home, due to either divorce, or physical violence, or emotional turmoil and the acting out occurs in school and we have to be at the receiving end and when conveyed the parents will not admit, agree or take responsibility!!
Story of my life every day!! You will be shocked if I tell you some of them!
Rose and Anindita you both are lucky! Even I was shocked when I first initially joined here coming from India!!
Anyway, bye girls! See you all in the evening! Chill, drill and drool! Au revoir!!
I'm glad for you girls Anindita, Jyothi, Rose and Shivu...😃
When I read the article, I knew Lana would relate to it... because this is how I guess it'd be here in the UK too! Possibly Australia/NZ and other 'westernised' countries! (My sons are still small, but I'm sure I'll find out as they grow up)
Even when I was studying in Bahrain, I've witnessed quite a few incidents with bratty students giving it back to the teachers right to their faces - my mom saw one on a parent-teacher meeting day and was shocked.
The education system in the subcontinent is vastly different.😊
There was a few more 'silly' ones in the list - and this was by Western teachers complaining about Indian parents.
[The teachers were obviously shocked by this sort of behaviour]
'If my son/daughter misbehaves in class please feel free to give him a thrashing or two... you need not ask me about it'
'If my son/daughter gets anything less than full marks, please feel free to twist his/her ears' (and this from an elementary-school child's parent)
😆 when I read it, I was like 'Welcome to our country'!
