Chellam , thank you for the super duper breakfast you laid out for us and this win is not even in a final match. Wonder what feast would be in store if SL were to emerge the eventual champions?

I love string hoppers ( Bindup, I remember your saying once that you had never heard of this item); hoppers ,I think we call it appam here, Sri Lankan pittu ( known as puttu), payaththam urundai (paitha urundai ).

I am actually extremely surprised to learn that kalu thothal ( dodol ) is popular in Sri Lanka as well because here it is considered a Malay delicacy. Sri Lankan kokis look very much like our thottachi or acchi murukku. Murukku,of course, is popular among all the races here. Coconut rice with sweet coconut stuffing, konda kavum and paruthithurai vadai are unfamiliar to me.
