Sandy and Lavanya don't even remind me of those handsome hunks back then! I started watching the game because I was smitten by Imran Khan followed by Akram! I was in my teens or even less! Funny thing was Imran was almost on the verge of retiring and he took off for a long time and came back for the World Cup. I literally just watched the game to see him, had no clue what the game ws all about! 😆 Then picked it up slowly! My love of cricket I owe it to him! And when I see him now I go 😕 wondering is it him I went THUD for!! I remember in Eden Gardens he took off his shirt in middle of the ground to change into another one and there was almost a riot for it because of the public, specially the girls went crazy and the police couldn't handle it! 🤣 The first crush I had made of flesh and bones and not fictional was Him and later the whole 'toli' followed by Akram, Shastri, David Gower, Alan Border! Now I am so out of touch!
I think as Lavanya said the adrenaline rush is missing and so it seems boring! But nevertheless, it always feels good to win over Pak. Back in Imran's time it was always the other way round, Pak beat us in almost every time except in the WC.
