CHAPTER 1

It was beautiful evening in Monte Carlo. The sun was setting in the sea with completing his duties for the day. A man is standing at the cliff of the mountain. He looked sad, troubled, irritated from his life. He had no effect of the soft breeze around him. He had no effect of the sunset in front of him. He was just in his own world which had some kind of stress, some kind of pain which was clear on his face. He was proceeding towards the edge of the cliff. He didn't know what to do, he was just going further and further and further. He reached at the edge and was about to jump, when someone pulled him away from the cliff and he fell on her.

A lady was coming towards the cliff as she heard about the beautiful sunset at that place. She had a sketchbook with a pencil and took a seat on a rock from where she can get a good view for a sketch. She started sketching when she saw a man going towards the edge. He was blocking her view. She raised her voice and told him to shift but he didn't hear her. Again and again she yelled at him but he was deaf to her. Suddenly she noticed that he was going more near to the cliff like he was going to jump. She got scared and ran towards him to save him. She caught him at the nick of the time and pulled him towards her.

He was smitten by the beauty in front of him. Beautiful doe like eyes, peach natural blush, rosy lips, olive complexion, her long black hair. She was exceptional. Even the other side was the same thing. His blue eyes, his brown eyebrows and silky hair, his rough lips and fair skin tone and his strong arms in which she was covered. The both looked at each other for a while. Suddenly the air hit the girl's face and she came back to reality. She patted him on his shoulder indicating to leave her. He also saw the position and got embarrassed. He got up and helped her. She also got up and cleaned her skirt which had little mud. That man saw her from top to bottom. A young, beautiful and innocent 20-25 years old woman wearing a skirt and a shirt tucked in the skirt. She was looking very cute. She also saw him from top to bottom. He was wearing a three-piece suit and very handsome man with a good built and somewhere around 25-27 years old. He asked

MAN: - Who are you???? And why did you save me?????

WOMAN: - Sir, I don't know what is in your life that made you take like this step but God gave you this life and only he has the right to take it back, even you don't have the right to kill yourself. It shows that you are a loser.

MAN: - What do you know what I am going through????

WOMAN: - I don't know but I know that if God has given you some pain, then he will give you the way to get relief from it. Till that time be patient.

And she turned to go from there. He turned and saw her retreating figure and suddenly she went. He thought "I think god has given me a chance". He smiled a bit and went from there. While going he saw a book and pencil. The book was open and pages were flying due to the wind. He picked up and saw the page. There were beautiful sketches of many things. He saw the first page of the book where the name was written which will change his life forever "JODHA"

She went towards the road when suddenly remembered her sketchbook. She hit her head slight and turned to get her book when she saw the same man standing behind her. He said

MAN: - Your book Jodha

JODHA: - Oh thank you so much.

MAN: - I should thank you for saving me. Thank you

JODHA: - No need for thanks. I was my duty.

MAN: - So where are you going now?????

JODHA: - Towards my hotel "La caf rouge"

MAN: - Oh, even I am there for my stay, come I will drop you.

JODHA: - No its ok, I won't trouble you.

MAN: - There is no harm. You have saved my life. I can at least drop you safely.

Jodha nodded her head in yes and walked with him. He was happy somewhere that he is walking with her. He was never attracted to anyone as such, though he doesn't deny that he has seen many beauties. They reached near his black and silver Rolls Royce Ghost. Jodha eye widen to see such a beautiful car. She could have a clear idea how rich he must be. He opened the door for her and made her sit in the car comfortably. He sat from the other side and told the driver to take them to the hotel. Jodha could not control herself and asked.

JODHA: - Who are you????

MAN: - Don't you read news or watch news on tv??????

JODHA: - I don't have tv in my hostel and I don't read newspapers. (He smiled at her innocence)

MAN: - I am Jalalludin Mohammad Akbar. (Jodha was shocked about his identity. She has heard his name through her friends in hostel that he looks cute, he looks very handsome and all. But today she saw him face to face. She was shocked. He continued) You can call me Jalal.

JODHA: - No, it's ok I will call you Mr. Mohammad.

JALAL: - Ok as you wish. But I have no issue if you call me Jalal. (She smiled at this. Jalal was lost in her smile. He continued) So Jodha what are you doing in Monte Carlo????

JODHA: - I am here with Mrs. Andrew as her companion for the trip from India. I will be with her in this trip, take care of her and get money for it. Now she gave me some free time as she wanted to talk to her daughter on skype and she wanted some alone time. So I left her in the hotel and came here to sketch. I heard about that cliff a lot so couldn't wait to do come here.

JALAL: - Oh so where do you live in India??????

JODHA: - Mumbai.

JALAL: - I have my 5 star hotels in Mumbai. I frequently come there for business. So who all are there in house???? (Here Jodha's face saddened. Her eyes started to tears. It was about to fall before that Jodha wiped it with her index finger which was noticed by Jalal. He asked) What happened Jodha????

JODHA: - I lost my parents in a train accident when I was 4. A railway ticket checker saw me on station crying. So he took me to an orphanage where I was brought up by nuns. When I turned 18 I was asked to leave as I was capable of earning. Then for past 3 years I work as client servicing. (Jalal felt bad that she had such a bad childhood. Then Jalal continued)

JALAL: - I was 9 when I lost my parents in a plane crash. I was their only child, I was the heir to their business. After that my father like uncle Khan Baba took care of the business, till that time I was studying in London and also did my further studies there. Then I took over the business, then after 2 years he also passed away. Then... (The car halted in front of the hotel. She gets down of the car and also Jalal got down. Jalal continued) I will leave you till your room. Come.

JODHA: - That's really nice of you. But I don't want to trouble you more.

JALAL: - There is nothing to be troubled.

JODHA: - Ok as you wish.

They enter the lobby together and where proceeding towards the lift when Jodha heard her name from behind and the voice was familiar. She turned and saw Mrs. Andrews. She came near her and asked.

MRS. ANDREWS: - Jodha where were you for so long. Its night 8 pm and (Suddenly she saw Jalal and she was shocked to see the business magnet with a mere girl. She didn't leave the opportunity and said) Oh hello Mr. Mohammad, I am Selina Andrews, you can call me Mrs. Andrews.

JALAL: - Hello Madam, how are you???????

MRS. ANDREWS: - I am absolutely fine. And you?????

JALAL: - I am good. I was about to come in your room to leave you assistant to you.

MRS. ANDREWS: - That's so thoughtful of you. I hope she was obedient with you.

JALAL: - Yaa, she was very disciplined.

MRS. ANDREWS: - Oh, I am glad to hear that. How nice!!!!!

JALAL: - I shall take your leave Mrs. Andrews and Jodha. (He bowed to both of them and left to his room. Mrs. Andrews said)

MRS. ANDREWS: - You know Jodha, he is such a gentleman. I heard about him from my friends he used to keep very grand parties when his wife was alive.

JODHA: - HIS WIFE?????

MRS. ANDREWS: - Oh yes, he was married a year and a half ago, but his unfortunate fate, he wife died by drowning in the boat. From that day he is very reserved and is always out of media's sight. (Jodha felt bad for him. Now she understood why he was thinking of something so worst. She was surprised how she was getting so emotional about him. Then she asked)

JODHA: - What was her name?????

MRS. ANDREWS: - RUKAIYA SULTAN JALALLUDIN MOHAMMAD AKBAR
