Lashy I read chapter 24 but couldn't write comments after reading you know why!

So I decided to read 25 and after reading I dropped a comment on previous thread. That's for 25.

At evening,I wrote comments for 24 in my lappy but couldn't manage to write for 25.

Last night I read 26, and dropped a comment before going to sleep.

I hope u understand now.🤔

And you will get ur answer why I want harka to do it alone in my comments of 24. Because I wrote those comments before reading 26.

Another wonderful chapter Lashy!
I least expected a confrontation between Heera and Khalil. In fact I dreaded the Heera-Shehzaade encounter more than Heera-Khalil. I loved the way Heera stood up to that monster. She is feisty in her own way. She is compassionate, humble but not a door-mat. She is feisty and firm but not egoistic or unreasonable. A marvel of nature is she. The fact that a 16-year old partially-blind unarmed girl can keep the monster on his toes speaks volumes about her razor-sharp intelligence and emotional strength.
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Ok because you asked, I'll let you in on this secret!

You girls made me nostalgic.. ☺️

After NJAPA which was on eve teasing/stalking I wanted to write on another issue plaguing our society today - land grabbing! And that's how HBAS was born...

Two sisters whose father had passed away... had left them a large bungalow and a plot of land in a prime area in Chennai (yes after Hyderbad, I wanted to write a story in Chennai 😆)...
But the land grabbing mafia was trying all they could to get the sisters to give it up
The older worked in a company engaged to an influential businessman (who was supposed to be in love with her)

The younger was partially blind... a social worker... sisters loved each other... watched out for each other... but they were battling threats from the mafia..

She returns home from work one day to find the crime scene... her sister murdered etc.. she hears the last mobile message from her sister asking her to run... that the men were returning soon...

So, with some money/clothes/ land papers she leaves with the driver... to go to Bangalore (where her closest relatives are)

The men start chasing her...

The car chase ends up in a crash... with her stranded in the other side of Chennai... at this point, the driver ditches her saying he doesn't want to be involved in this any more...

Partially blind... midnight in some seedy Chennai road.. she doesn't know where to go... goes to the only shop to ask for help

But, rowdies in this midnight tea-side shop... see her.. beginning to behave not-too-nice... you picture it..

There's one man standing in one corner... quietly watching it all... a Don.. Basha Bhai kinda guy 😆 he stops the bullies... but, doesn't say much after that... leaves...

She follows him since he seems like the safer bet for then... and since she doesn't know where else to go..

He turns out to be owner of a small guest house..

Of course, she lives stays there for a night... which becomes 2 days... then... 2 weeks... hiding from the mafia for a while...

Turns out the Don Basha Bhai was actually working for the land mafia... and the businessman fiancee was the one who orchestrated the murder of her sister... you get the picture 😉😆

Thanks a lot for letting us know how the concept of HBAS was born and sorry for being so late with the reply.I had read it the next day itself, but couldn't type a reply.

Though the basic story line is same,I prefer the historical version over Basha Bhai one.The modern one sounds lil cliched as the probability of a lone girl meeting a stranger, who saves her and provides shelter, etc., is high rather than a lone 16 year old heiress along with her ppl hiding behind a stranger and falling for him after all those unusual encounters, who belongs to different religion...In short, only the historical version does complete justice to these lines from the prologue..Yet; in the midst of such turmoil and peril, there bloomed a beautiful story - much like a lone flower blossoming upon the steepest edges of a cliff - a story of love, of sacrifice and honour!

The period drama is always a challenging task to the writers and more fascinating for the readers. The limitations earlier generations had,be it the social, cultural or technological turn the story more enthralling. Also,we get to learn a lot of new things about the history.
