Is that why we are called "banjaras'- we are akin to nomads who roam around living here and there, with no permanent house ( definition from the Internet). Bindup explained it to me once but the true meaning of it only struck me today. So we move from thread to thread - not staying any longer than 10 days or so in one. 😆 😆 😆

Later in the evening, I'll open new thread darlings... for now, we'll chit chat here..

And girls in India please don't stay up for the update.. it'll come v v late...I still have 1000 words to type and editing left too.. plus last minute Christmas/shopping plans today! 🤗 From Saturday onwards for a week, my cousin bro and bhabhi staying over.. so have to finish plenty today tomorrow...

Anyway, another day and it's weekend...

Btw, I found it so cute that Payal gave meaning of Patti...

Btw, I think we are spread out from all over India - Bengalis, Biharis, Tamilians (From India/Malaysia & SL), Maharashtrian, Telugu-speakers, UP-waasis, Mangalorean, Hariyanvi, Gujarati... 🤗

@ Rose - the term Banjara was coined by a member called Varsha (Varshakulkarni) - during NJAPA time... and the reason you gave was precisely why she called the lot as 'Banjaras' 😆

Btw, I like that B&B somehow refer to both Banjaras and Baisas & Baby and Babloo! 😛
