Dear Lashy,
First and foremost, congratulations on a century of likes! You actually deserve many more.
Thank you so so so much Shreya... thanks a lot! š¤
What a beautiful, poignant chapter this turned out to be! The opening scene was spectacular. In a sense, it summed up Khan Sahib's journey after his encounter with Heera -
the target hitting accurately, the dauntless Ustaad confronting his enemies
and then Heera's thoughts making him miss his target. It was the metaphorical rendition that made such for a lovely read.
Yes.. yes I am so glad you picked on this point.. because that was what it was.. not danger, not darkness, not animals... nothing makes him miss his target... but she does!
Khan Sahib's steel resolve to hide his love from his beloved was very poignant. His heart must have broken into pieces seeing Heera breach every protocol, every maryada, her self-respect to meet him, to seek answers from him, to give a name to their special bond.
Yes it was very tough on him... because there are few people he actually 'feels' for... and as a man who's able to give his loved ones all that they want... he feels sorry to break her heart this way.. but he had to do it!
It has been some time since I finished reading this chapter, but I still feel emotional thinking about their alvida scene.
Thank you dear... thanks a lot! š¤
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter!
