Thus we introduce ourselves to Fifty Shades of Periyamma! 😉
You didn't mind my joke, did you?
Well jokes apart, this is something really interesting, and going by the version of Planchet you have tried, there are more ways I have read of. Two of my favourite authors - Agatha Christie and Satyajit Ray, have time and again brought Planchet as the theme of the thriller, and to introduce an aura of suspense. Every time the form of Planchet was different, i.e. with or without a medium. Perhaps the most difficult way is the method of using a medium.
If possible, do try out The Sittaford Mystery by Christie, that's fantastic and starts with a Planchet scene similar to your description - the commonly adapted method of table turning and there's another short story whose name I am unable to remember

Lashy di, were the Ahadis trained to float like a lifeless corpse?! I have heard of some obscure ancient Yogic principles, that taught similar stuff .
Thanks for the teaser, though!
>>> might be🤔... I haven't come across something like that... though I don't think it's impossible or would've never happened!
