Glad to read every one's opinion about aurangzeb 😃
Even I have something to say about him 😉 . When shah jahan rebelled against jahangir he had kept his little son aurangzeb as a gurantee with his father to settle the matters and keep himself safe later. So its not surprising what he later did to his father.
But what he did to chhatrapati sambhaji maharaj and one sikh leader (sorry forgot his name) was cruel . He killed them mercilessly
Sorry if I offended someone . 😭
P.S. discussions have been really interesting ⭐️
Aurangzeb ke chakkar me akbar ko bhul mat jana sab 😆
Agreed to the point that nobody is completely black or white and even Hitler was very complex character to understand though he was cruel.

Oh okay, nice meeting you! 😊

And don't worry, Khan Sahib ko hum nhi bhool skte! 😆

And despite Chittor... I feel Aurangazeb, even on his best day, wouldn't be able to hold a candle to the achievements of Akbar... well, there is a reason Akbar is called 'great' 😊...

Aurangazeb could only be good to himself, HIS beliefs and people HE considered close... what he did to his brothers et al is horrible

Akbar accommodated all people and all beliefs...

Basically in the spectrum Akbar was one end of broad minded... and Aurangazeb the other end...

Of course Lashy di, agree with you. Akbar is Akbar, and as you said, there is a reason he is called 'great', despite all his shortcomings. ⭐️ @red is very well said! ⭐️

I would never forget him at least! 😃

@Bold, yes...🤢...And his dad too...🤢

You know what di, I went to Agra Fort three years back, and people there say that there used to be a temple in the Palace premises for MUZ, whose idols were thrown away by Aurangzeb. 😡 Though the temple still exists...without the original idols.

Yes...It's said Hindustan's future would have had a different and perhaps much better direction had Dara Shikoh been the emperor.

But he's one unfortunate person...How mercilessly he and his family were killed...😡

Oh accha...and pta hai di, when I was there and got to know this...Itta gussa aa rha tha na...😡😡...Matlab just imagine we would have been able to see the same idols she worshiped...if not for this man...😡🤢

And of course, Akbar is class apart...⭐️ He was a man ahead of his time...he could think of uniting the nation in a time when nobody thought beyond his state's boundaries.

And I too agree, Aurangzeb did what he liked, followed his own rules and did things which could do good to himself only.

Yes...Abhay had written that Aurangzeb had destroyed many documents...and even made changes in Akbarnama and Jahangirnama.

Yes...ShahJahan wanted to use marble in Agra Fort, and therefore he demolished many pavilions and made new marble ones.

And you know what, even one British General had this crazy idea of demolishing all Indian Monuments and transporting the marble and stones to Britain. Due to this, many palaces of the Agra Fort were destroyed...thankfully, the Taj Mahal escaped this scheme...as it was stopped by the time it could reach there.

All this info, makes me go...😡

ohhh is it m new to dis info about d british general...but I think we cant blame britishers alone we ourselves within our country der was no unity and britsh ppl took adv of dis and dats wat dey used d tech divide and rule...so our own ppl should b blamed for dat...coz in hindi der is a saying taali ek haath se nahi bajti hai...right...so if britishers r to blamed for whatever dey did dn somewhat our ppl r involved coz many rulers did support brits for der rules some out of compulsion but most of dm willingly... 😕
