AkDha OS : Was it a fairytale?
Note : Its MUZ /JODHA/HEERA/HARKA POV. hope you all enjoy this too...(history+fiction mixed in equal proportions
Love is like a myth these days. So, our very own Jodha talks about what is actually a fairytale- the horses, castle and the Prince? Or the something more simpler?
ENJOY!!!!...
Dear every girl out there,
This is MUZ speaking from the Grave of dead. Have not you always desired for a Prince to take you on the horse and ride to a land where there is no end to love!!! The typical myth of happily ever after? Are you not the girl who believed your fate would change once you wear that dreamy dress and a handsome man, probably a tall and fair King would bow down at your feet? Then how are you changed now? Is it that your better half had not climbed a mountain to get you a rose? Or your soulmate has not hunted a deer for you, like Lord Rama? When will you stop these fantasies? You,yourself build a castle in air and blame him for the holes in it? Mind you , the same Ram had betrayed his wife..would you want him? No, rather you would go for Kanhaiya, who with his little mischiefs can make you smile..don't you? Now , think how many times he had slipped in front of you and seeing you laugh, have not he stared at you like watching a wonder? Have not he tried to give you more part of the food after a fight? Have not he smiled sheepishly at you for his mistakes? Have not he? Then, why when it comes to HIM , you set up so many expectations?! Probably because you love him. You know he is not perfect and you don't even want him to be..You just have been taught, since the birth that you expect a lot from the person you love and that there are typical ways of living a DREAM,YOUR LOVE!Though its the biggest lie|
I don't blame you for it. Oh!! You are asking me have not i lived your every dream? Yes, i enjoyed a horse ride. Actually my whole life had been a horse ride..ups and downs. Some times we had to tip toe, some times we had to run like we have been attacked by a wild tiger(ha-ha). You still think i have lived your dreams? Ha-ha . I guess your dream is not to marry some one you hate? Your dream is not to fall in love with a person who already has thousand other responsibilities and women before you? Your dream is not to loose your first beloved child in the hands of the vicious fate? Your dream is not to watch your husband and son fight a battle in which you have to choose sides?yeah, it does sound like choosing between either daal or baati! how would food be complete without both being present? Then how would my life be complete without the sync of the two? Sorry, just got drifted away! Well, i guess your dream is not to watch you beloved child fall in trap of either money or intoxication! I know your dream is not to outlive the person you love just for the sake of betterment of others..to watch your poor husband suffer at the hands of a common disease which could have been cured ! Your dream is not watch your brave husband dropping a lone tear for you at his death bed saying " live for me", though till now too you had lived just for him! Your dream is neither to be called as a ditcher after such a huge sacrifice of yourself nor be forgotten and hidden behind walls of turmoil !!!
Nah,don't worry..my life was not such a mess
I did live my fairytale..every time i would stand behind the curtains , he would raise his head to have a look at me. I met my prince every time there..
Every time i would feel lost and a few close Mughal begums and friend like servants n not to forget my AMMIJAAN would cheer me up..i met my fairy God mother there.( i do speak your language)
Every time i go missing for a second, a child would search for me in the whole palace. I had lived my dreams there.
Every time someone would raise a voice against me/my work, HE would raise from his throne to just give the person a tough reply. I lived my happily ever after there.
I have lived my dreams in him just like you thought. Not because he did extraordinary things to please me. But because for me, he was extraordinary, and he would do ordinary things to please me. He would randomly sing a verse,or probably pull out one of his poor joke,in reply of which i would laugh my heart out , not because i was scared of him but because how could i ignore his attempts to make me laugh at the time of a fierce battle?Have u seen a Gopi scared of her Kanhaiya? Cuz he is god? A mighty being? No!
I lived when he would just take a minute from his schedule to do Aarti with me,would stop by to listen to my bhajans, would play with his youngest daughter calling her a photocopy of me, would listen to all my advice patiently, would definitely get angry on me and later please me with baby like pout.. Would walk through the whispers of harem just to look at me sleeping before going to bed. Would fight with anyone to keep my dignity and identity intact.
Yes i have gone through many bad times..just like you, but without my King it could have been worse!!!
