Thanks a lot, Adiana, and I hope you laughed out loud at the A change of tone part! That letter to Jalal was part of one of my 2013 posts on an earlier episode, when we were all breathlessly awaiting the tiger!

As for the goings on in the akhada in my last thread, yes, it was great fun and is still continuing. I have made an one time exception to my resolution (not to get involved in any Jodha vs Jalal argument) and responded to Saraswathi Akka's post of yesterday. You will like it!

I did - laughed a lot and read your post 😆 I too jumped into that akhaada for one post 😉😆 but am now exclusively posting from phone so unable to do more 😛😉 Am at Chennai for half a day today and used my time to shop (my favorite pass time) at Sundari Silks and bought 4 sarees - money well spent according to me 😛😆

It always is, my dear Adiana, money well spent, I mean! I am not familiar with Sundari Silks, but I used to visit Nalli's in TNagar every single time I visited Chennai. If it is close to Deepavali,one normally has to fight to get to the counters therel

Okay! Okay! So here lies the basic communication gap that triggered the akhada!

My complaint about Jodha was against her continued spitfires against Jalal, from blaming HIM for the marriage when her precious dad was the main culprit and accusing him of waiting to pounce on her like she did in the tent enroute Ajmer...that worsened in Amer.

All this AFTER he welcomed her back after the suicide attempt after her mother's refusal to have her back. She doesn't even extend the respect due to his position as a king IN RETURN for all the queenly status she enjoys. Never makes an attempt to understand him AFTER his generosity in taking her back seeing her loneliness and AFTER his gentlemanliness in not demanding his marital rights and even AFTER his parting his dear fort for her sister. But just treats him like scum and dirt.

She advised the commonfolk that the pitatulya raja has to be respected under all circumstances but never follows it herself. Never gives him the respect and manners due to the king if not husband YET has no reservations using her allowances as a queen.

All the grouse is against her current behaviour and what is to follow which is like that of a spoilt brat. Not her behavior in the initial days of marriage. She was my favorite those days, as much if not more than Jalal.

No more aunty. The shops are all extended and many branches nearby that the rushes are no longer suffocating.

Sundari Silks has an equally good collection of traditional wear and is more exclusive.

Sands am a little ahead staying for the day at husband's office guest house near TVS office. I can meet you now as I have to catch the kanyakumari express at 5.15 pm from Egmore and will leave for station st 3.45 pm
