Speaking of expressions, Jalal's in the hamam was so revealing. Not gratitude or thankfulness for Bhagwandas' contribution in the war. He looked extremely satisfied and pleased that his ploy worked. His experiment to include Rajvanshis in his army clicked well. If a guy accused of murder and facing the fires in 10 days could do his duty and stay true to his word of honour the plan he had outlined to his maulvis and wazirs after his talks with Bharmal would be a super sucess. Rajat's expressions were perfect.

Spot on, my pet!

On the way back to Agra Jalal is thinking in terms of the quartet not being guilty in the dature ka ark matter because they fought for him and saved his life risking theirs.

But by the time he is in the hamaam, he is ruminating on precisely the lines you have outlined. The CVs should have made this clear in a voice-over, but seeing the way in which they grossly misrepresented Jalal's reason for taking the quartet to Sujanpur, one could hardly expect this of them!
