Iconic Episodes...that led to some magical moments .
These were the episodes you just sit back and enjoy for the sheer visual imagery and high drama. I was not inclined to analyse these too much. But as usual your post has compelled me to come out of my day dreaming and think 😲Tilak Ceremony: Thanks to you and Devki for drawing my attention to this lovely scene. I had completely missed this gem of an interaction between Jalal and Mainavati in my earlier viewing. How gentle were Jalal's eyes when he looked at Mainavati and reassured a petrified mother about the well being of her daughter. if it were possible, I fell even more in love with this Jalal... Now who says he has no Dil ?😳. Surprisingly Mainavati was wonderful too 😲This scene was also very poignant for me, because we know how much respect and faith Akbar must have had for "Real Mainavati" to send his one month old infant son Daniyal all the way to Amer to be raised by her for a few years. This to me is a startling fact given how precious Akbar's kids especially his sons were to him. How much he must have trusted the Ameri's to do this. And what an honor he bestowed on Mainavati who is not even an immediate family member. Two Sharts: UFFF!!! Natkiya Rupantar at its Best!!!Who cares if this happened in real history or not! I was at the edge of my seat for this scene!!! Loved loved loved every minute of this drama. Jalal pacing like a caged lion before he gives a killer smirk and says " Aap ki sharte bahut badi hein Shehzadi"Jodha was magnificent and gorgeous as well. Paridhi nailed the scene with her small and very subtle changes in expression from triumph to utter despair.Jodha: By episode 34 I had starting loving Jodha and was rooting for her vigorously. Yes her decision to burn the Joda was rash and Impulsive but utterly human. How can you blame her?? She has been under unimaginable stress...First the shock of receiving the kata hua sar of Surya...then the petrifying spectacle of seeing the reflection of your worst enemy as your prospective groom. The worst of all , your family who you trust completely deceives you into this alliance. She has not had any time to recover from the shock and in comes Maham with her arrogant barbs... and Jodha snaps and is pushed over the edge. Cannot blame her at all. After this mental breakdown of sorts she does recover and conducts herself with grace and dignity during the shaadi.Shyamala it does not matter whether 16th century girls had a say in choosing their life partners or not. What matters is that in this show, Jodha has been raised pampered, privileged and with a lot of freedom and respect from her adoring family. It is entirely reasonable for her to expect a say in who she marries. We are after all judging her actions based on the show and not real history of 16th century India.Shaadi ceremony of Heer Kunwari and Akbar: You are correct in saying that this episode was short on substance but long on spectacle. It was also very very long on significance. Loved every minute of this episode. The Chemistry between these two was electrifying and boy do they look amazing in a single frame together. If you get the time do look at Abhay's post where he draws our attention to Akbar's horoscope in the Akbarnama. His horoscope predicts his marriages with the rajas of India which will result in the birth of many princes and most importantly which leads to "increasing relish of friendship and love❤️ ❤️"- so you see Shyamala this was a match made in heavenWhew these episodes have brought forth the romantic in me with a vengeance. I am loving every bit of this 😊😊😊Thanks once again for doing this despite the obvious strain on your joints.
