Get well soon shyamala! Looking forward to your next one! Sorry i got little tied up with my stuff, did read the post and i mudt say it is brilliant and no one can explain Rukkaiya enigma better than you, loved their chemistry to the core, they both shared a good rapport on and off screen, unfortunately it was not the same with the rest, lavina was comfortable but i did not like her portrayal of ruk much, found smiley's more close to reality and ps's jodha never had the warmth and comfort level that should have been in a love saga, it looked one sided, the only warmth and that level of intimacy in expressions was seen in badal kajri track!

Hi Shymala,
Hope you are feeling better. I know how painful shoulder pain can be, so follow Doctor's advise and take rest. In the time that your shoulder gets better, I suggest you consider a different approach to getting your views across rather than subjecting that poor shoulder to more stress. Shoulder problems are something which can be controlled but they are unlikely to go away. It is also reasonable to assume that stress on that shoulder will cause pain, hence prolonged typing will cause pain.

How about Voice recognition software. This has really come of age and is worth considering as an alternative to typing. I have some links for you. Please take a look-

My dear Khushi, Sandhya, Anjali, Mandy, Donjas, Sri, Deepa, Kalgi, Zhanna, Prem, and all my other friends here,

I cannot thank you enough for the warmth of your concern about my health. It is this friendship that all of you extend to me so liberally, almost extravagantly, that keeps me here more than Jodha Akbar or even Rajat!🤗

No, Sandhya, my doctor did not prescribe any miracle drug of the kind I was joking about. Or indeed any drug at all. In fact, I have now learnt why some people used to say that I was stiff-necked!

Alerted to my symptoms in detail by e-mail over the weekend, as also about the pain in the unoperated knee, my orthopaedist initially told me by e-mail that it might be rheumatoid arthritis, but I would have to see him and do a lot of tests before the diagnosis could be confirmed. He mailed this to me at 11 pm on Sunday, and I could not sleep properly that night. If you google rheumatoid arthritis and see photos of twisted hands and crippled joints, you would understand why.

In the event, after seeing me on Monday morning, and grasping that it was pain radiating down the arms right down to the hands. he did not think it was that awful affliction. He said it was my spine. He was right, for an X-ray of the neck and upper spine revealed that my vertebrae Nos. 3-5 are somewhat displaced, whence these pain attacks. So some weeks of electro-therapy are on the cards, and I shall have to learn and do a fresh set of back exercises, on top of my knee exercises!

But at least it was not rheumatoid arthritis, and so I got back home and offered a fervent prayer of thanksgiving before dancing a little jig for sheer relief!

I have been missing all of you, and I plan to do something shorter than usual tomorrow. I cannot afford to overdo things and suffer a repeat of the weekend when, apart from being unable to lift my arms, I could not close my hand either, and thus could not even open a bottle!

See you all then! Donjas, thanks a lot for the links dealing with voice recognition software. I shall give them my very early attention.

Shymala, that is wonderful news because the alternative as you said, is a lot less appealing.

I had a similar sort of injury sometime back, during a particularly rigorous weight training regimen, I felt a sharp twang in my back and a searing pain. That pain turned out to be temporary but soon my left left leg developed pain. I was told by the Doctor that I had strained a nerve. It took a while to recover.

Strained nerves and displaced vertebrae are temporary things, adequate rest and precaution, and things soon get back to normal.

Oh God - It was a little scary while reading but towards the end relieved. Do take care akka and please ONLY do as much as you can. Or skip it by giving gist or a short summary, if you yourself want to write and communicate.
Wishing you a smoother recovery. I hope you have someone to take care of all chores at home.

Good to hear that the issue is less gruesome than what you had initially mentioned.
Yes voice recognition software can help.
All you do is dictate and it will type and post your awesome musings.
Its available on most gadgets these days.

Anyways take care and hope you recover soon.
