Actually it is 10th grade level...infact straight from the 10th std text book. 😆

Days?😲 You should be able to solve it in minutes with the speed=distance/time formula.😃

Distance is 600km

If distance is xkm and normal speed is ykm/h.. then normal time taken is x/y

Eq1 ---> x/y - x/(y+10) = 2

Eq2---> x/(y-10) -x/y = 3

from those equation y = 50km/h so x = 600km

Cool Dev !

Here is the Answer...

Distance is 600 Km !

Normal Speed - 50 Km/hr Time - 12 hrs

Faster Speed - 60 Km/hr Time - 10 hrs ( 2 hrs lesser )

Slower Speed - 40 Km/hr Time - 15 hrs ( 3 hrs lesser )

Method :

Time = Distance / speed

Equation 1 :

Time taken (Normal speed ) - Time taken (10 kmph faster ) = 2 hours

Equation 2 :

Time taken (10 kmph slower) - Time taken ( Normal speed ) = 3 hours

By Dividing Equation 1 by Equation 2 , we get Speed.

Substitute Speed in Equation 1 to get the Distance !
