So it is curtains now. I have mixed feelings at the end. This is the first hindi serial i have watched from start to end after Mahabharat. Even if i have hated some tracks and Akbar's abla-pan, i've stuck to it.

The initial magic created by the show in the first 100 episodes was so strong that it pulled me through the next 466.😳

The serial's real magic lies in the actors. The terrific Maham Anga, the deceptive Ruqaiya, the ruddy loafer Adham Khan, the leeching Shariffu, the intimidating Bairam Khan, the charming Abdul and of course the gorgeous Jodha and the dashing Jalal. The leads were exquisite and almost perfect in the initial magical episodes. The execution was wonderful too. Such a package is rare in tele world. With better handling it would have been a classic. Yet, Surely inspite of all its faults and shortcomings the serial and the IF discussions are one of a kind.

I had wished that the serial had ended in a song and dance seq, the awaam praising their king and queen followed by a longer soul talk and a longer recollection.

Once more...a quick recall...of the magical moments...just copying the ones i posted in Mandy's thread.

@bold.. Very true. It is very rare for a soap to have everything just in place.. The cast, the story, the sets and the grandeur!! Kudos to the PH for casting the right cast not just the leads, every single character including the eunuchs !! I missed Aswini when Mahamanga died and its rare to miss a villain in serials 😆

And I'm going to miss the expert takes on Forum. My association with IF is short and I barely visit other forums yet I feel JA forum got better sagacious members than the rest!! I may be wrong, but I'd love to be right!! Nice reading your posts Sandy.. though we haven't interacted much one-on-one I used to follow you in Divi's threads.

Gosh!! Same man.. hundreds of pictures time and again.. still feel the jitters as if seeing them for first time!! What's wrong with this man!! or with me? 🤔

Great post Sandhya! I don't know if you remember me but I also used to hang around the forum during the "Golden Days" of Jodha Akbar. I stopped watching a while back but all this nostalgia and Jodha Akbar ending makes me want to revisit those episodes I missed. I did enjoy the show during its run and I plan on catching this last episode.
