"What do you think happened?" Jalal asked her following her scrutinizing gaze.

"Canons?" Jodha replied with a question.

"Yes. Canons happened. We have Hindustan's finest artillery" Jalal declared in a voice filled with pride. As they waited in front of the eastern gate of the huge castle to open.

"Canons and treachery..." She corrected him.

"You are too intelligent for your own good. Has anyone ever told you that?" Jalal smirked, "After Kamal Khan was killed...thanks to you, his loyals still held the castle and refused to surrender. We had to storm the walls to take it back. But as you can see it is a fortress. We would have sat for a year laying a siege and nothing would have happened to those who were inside..."
