Jodha needs to convert to Islam. They were saying sheku baba cannot be crowned since his mother is a Hindu.. If he crowns sheku without her converting to Islam.. No citizen of the mughal sultanate will be allowed religious pilgrimage to Mecca

Shah-e-Iran's messengers said that Jodha not converting to Islam makes the JaJo marriage illegitimate and thus Salim illegitimate. The threat was that if Jalal goes ahead with crowning Salim without converting Jo first, citizens of Mughal empire will not be permitted to go to Mecca for hajj/umrah (presumably through Iranian territory).

It is not clear to me just how many people went to hajj via Iran. One would think most pilgrims would have travelled by ship.

Anyway, we have some major NR in progress. 😊
