It was a fine / dramatic episode...
So, here is what happened, in brief.
Rest can be read in the follow up comments here..
IMO, 2 scenes take the cake...Point number 3 and last point - 6...

1.
Haider asks Salima Begum to leave Agra for her safety but she refuses.
Salima Begum sends some nurses to cure wounds of injured soldiers in Thaneshwar.
Anarkali is among them. :-P

2.
2-3 minutes of SA. Anarkali applies medicine to wounds of Salim.
But this was watchable.

3.
This was the MUST watch scene. Wonderfully enacted...
a. Jalal is suspended upside down via a rope atop a pond which is supposed to be full of venomenous snakes. A child had fallen into it and people cry for help. He riskes his life to rescue the child. The mother of the child calls him GOD. Immediately, he says he is NOT a God, but a shadow of God. I guess this was shown to depict his changed state of mind..He moves on..

b. Further, he meets a group of Hermits. He keeps moving. A hermit among them, stops him and gives him a shawl and some food. He accepts it and moves on. Few steps ahead, he comes across a kid and his mother. Both cry for food. He goes to them and gives them his food, which the hermit had given to him. Perhaps, to show his self-less nature.

c.
Finally, he keeps moving and faints for want of water. Again he is given water by that Kid. This scene was wonderfully shot. The dialogues are worth hearing. I remember something -> "Tumhare sawalon ka jawab na to mandir mein hai na masjid mein, tumhare sawalon ka jawab tumhare paas hai, tumhare ander hai". He disappears and Akbar moves on.

4.
Shah Mansoor is about to get the graves of the pirs removed. But Akbar reaches there and warns him that he would be killed if he tries to do it. Shah Mansoor and his soldiers attack Akbar. But they are given a fitting reply by him. Later, villagers assemble and take hold of Mansoor.

5.
In the palace, breath of Jodha stops. Quite dramatic scene. On the other side, Akbar comes to know of this somehow.?.. He "cries" for his inability to saveguard her life, which could have been toned down. This scene was shot from "all sides" perfectly with a wonderful BGM.
Later, a Pir comes before Akbar and gives him something and asks him to give/administer this to Jodha, so she will be fine..

6.
This is a good scene in my opinion.
Dargah scene of JJ. Today, this was quite symbolic. Especially, the dialgoues of Jodha in this scene. Her soul says to Akbar's-> "In future, whenever your name will be taken, my name will also be taken along with yours. People may NOT know my ACTUAL NAME, but in ONE name or ANOTHER "I" will always be remembered with "you". " It was more than this. Watch it to hear the dialogues.

Precap:
The same as promo..
Also, Akbar reaches Agra and all are crying, for Jodha is no more..

It was overall a fine episode. In the middle part of episode, which i marked where Akbar had 3 encounters with different people was very good. They showed him in very good light. Yes, they showed Akbar is torn clothes in the scenes, which may not be liked by many here. But, i liked this for the portrayal they showed for Akbar, which i found as a one of a God fearing and a JUST ruler..

Promotions:
1. Today Zee promoted Jodha Akbar a lot on Twitter, after long. Many tweets after tweets were written/present on their wall. It happened with such a great intensity today, after the Hasan Husain track as per what i read there. Only thing i wished, they should have done it before.

2. Also, after a LONG time, some NEWS Channels also gave segments of Jodha Akbar. There are threads present in the forum mentioning that.

3. And, there is some spoiler of Bangalore Mirror also. It says, Akbar will visit Dargah, and some more details.

4. The montage has also changed back to Jodha Akbar. A new actor has been roped in to play TodarMal. These are some small, but good signals for the show.

Let us see what happens. Online and Print promotions have taken a front seat from today only. But, major chunk of viewers depend on TV promos. Hope the Zee guys are wise enough to understand this aspect of marketing/viewership. They have released a promo already. Link

TRP's system no more:
You might be knowing this. From next week, TRP's wont be released, as i heard, we will have a new viewership measuring system, which is said to be more efficient..Let us see, if this actually happens.. And if it happens, what are the changes we will see...Two links::

Aah. What a fine episode. I liked it, it was fast, a tad bit dramatic but all the same it was a great episode to watch. 😃

It was majority Rajat today, and he was brilliant. Most of the episode was Sans Jodha, as the episode was mostly about Akbar and his journey to the Khabars . I loved how all the helping scenes were inter related.

He helped the boy by rescuing from the lake with snakes -->He got 'rewarded' with food and a blanket--> He gives that back to help the hungry boy.

I particularly liked it when he tells that lady, how he is not god abut just an actor of god's deeds. The much needed realization. He is discovering a part of himself with every step he takes. (But is this the final epiphany that he had?? His enlightenment??)

The next scene I liked was that of Salima Begums. It was a nice way of showing how women were also an integral part of the running of state affairs. Unlike popular beliefs of that time saying Women were inferior, the Mughal Sulatanate had very much high positioned and important women in it, who were involved in commerce, trade and wellfare. :)

And that soul talk was extremely true at some point or the other, because YES, they are still discussed. It took time for people to read between the lines, and find out about the Akbar-MUZ relationship, but it did Happen in the end. There is no smoke without a fire. This scene was very symbolic of the love that has survived the test of times, the destiny that was to be uncovered, the relationship that was to be discovered. But in the end it did shine through, bright as ever. ❤️

''Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.''

Well today's episode was a good one. and hoping tomorrows will be even better. :)

ya abhay loved the scenes you mentioned
loved the scene how he helped people and in this way jodha will be safe as jalal has realized his mistakes and is is rectifying them
and soul talk was quite significant and as always awesome
jodha can't die cv's are dramatizing it and jalal came to know that jodha is no more and was saying hume muaff kar dijye hum aapko nahi bacha paye hum apna vada nahi neebha paye just like the segment and then the baba gives him vibhuti for jodha so she will be saved ,she can't die before akbar even in NR

Abhay thanks for update,

Makbara talks was very vibrated, This song will more describe this secene

Jo vaada kiya woh nibhaana padega
Roke jamaana chaahe roke khudaayee, tumako aana padega

Yeh maana hame jaan se jaana padega
Par yeh samajh lo tumane jab bhee pukaara
Tumako aana padega...

Ham apanee wafa pe na iljaam lenge
Tumhe dil diya hai tumhe jaan bhee denge
Jab ishk kaa sauda kiya, phir kya ghabraana
Hamako aana padega...

Chamakate hain jab tak yeh chaand aur tare
Na tutenge abb keh do paiman hamaare
Ek dusara jab de sada hoke dewaana
Hamako aana padega.

Abhay

Sorry for posting late. Travelling, as u know. )

Episode was one of the best so far in show. I was mesmerised by it - by the desperation of Jalal to save Jodha and by the fear that gripped Jodha regarding Akbar's well-being and finally took her life.

A special mention of the child who plays the role of the divine child/angel/Akbar's conscience - absolutely scintillating kid- looks just like the saint we worship - not belonging to any particular faith but like a Sufi mystic.

And the qawwali strains in the background of Akbar's inner awakening. It's soulful and arouses faith in the Garib Nawaz like nothing else can. It makes me want to visit Ajmer Sharif.

I am happy that Akbar's awakening of soul has been shown as a slow process in a series of divine encounters rather than a single divine experience. This makes it easier to relate to and emulate.

The way events from Akbar's life are seen by Jodha is a reminder that she is so closely associated with him and can see these events as instinctively as if they were to occur in her life. I felt she became sick and then left her body not because of any illness but because she took on the consequences of Akbar's actions upon herself. She sacrificed her life so that he could become free of his sins.

i felt this way after watching the climax so to say. Akbar has stopped the digging of the graves and overpowered Shah Mansoor. As far as he is aware, he has paid off his sins and can now hope for a happy life once more with Jodha who he hopes will get better now as a conseqence of his repentance. But rather she dies. The sun literally sets upon Akbar's life as he watches first baffled and then shocked at the setting sun. It takes him not an instant to grasp that his soul has left him. He swings painfully between despair that she is no more and desperate prayers for mercy on her life.

He really doesn't need to be told by the hakima the truth. After all, when even the God child has acknowledged the 2 souls are as one, then both will feel for each other as if for their own self and there can be no separate destiny manifest for them. She sheltered him with her goodness and helped him accomplish the task he set out to do to
Wash off his sins. And she took on some of the fruit of his karma upon herself and paid for it with her life. For the second time, Jodha stood as his protector and shelterd him from his own destiny. This time, Akbar didn't lag behind. He went on a personally excruciating journey to ensure that he alone paid for his sins and their shadow should not fall on her. Both are ready to go to any length for each other and to sacrifice everything for the sake of the other person's life. If this isn't love, what is? If this isn't about being soulmates, what is?

The journey is far from over. They come to the next stage now. They were prepared to die for each other. Now they will fight destiny for their right to live together. Forever, as their souls put it. There are many love stories but this is one story that changed the course of history.

Those who are watching should expect an emotionally gut wrenching experience and to be drained of all feeling and be left with simply an immense sense of deep satisfaction when the two finally overcome all odds and emerge victorious.

The rebirth of jodha is necessary to not only to help Akbar in his spiritual progress but also as the watershed moment that demarcates their life as ordinary royals and as spiritually awakened souls who will dedicate their lives to the nurturing of their awaam in all its hues in all ways possible.

After this, i really hope to see Akbar's encounters with various faiths, his acts to serve people of all faiths and finally din-i-ilahi. And MUZ's haj business, her foreign trade ventures, her welfare schemes and acts for the people.

I would never have thought Ekta Kapoor would show this but she seems to have found a new vision for the show now and has raised my expectations consequently to sky high.

Today's episode promises to be just as awesome in a series of spectacular episodes. Keep watching. :) And enjoy. I will miss the episodes tonight and tomorrow but will try to read ur views and know what happened. :))
