I stop short of saying fantastic / awesome because I absolutely detested the Sharifuddin scenes today and the guy as well. I know many of my young friends wanted to see SD get the TREATMENT from Jalal and they got their money's worth today. If this had been a movie, the front benchers would have whistled and danced seeing Jalal rescue Jodha Just-in-Time and dump SD into the Garbage Collector.
I am old-fashioned and don't have the stomach to bear the NR, which was typically B grade Hindi movie level today. With SD trying to get his hands on Jodha in a khandar and the hero jumping onto him at the last minute. And did you guys notice that all of Jalal's men vanished and it was just Jalal alone who entered the villain's lair? And was soon surrounded by the villain's henchmen?
Note: SD chose the wrong place to take Jodha to - of course, Ambe Ma would never abandon Jodha, esp on her own premises.
I wanted to see Jodha punish SD using her sword and though I didn't quite get that, at least Jodha wielded the sword along with Jalal a la the forest scene when the two had together fought off a band of attackers. She should have used the golden opportunity to shred SD but the hero also needs to do something. 😆 Jalal was terrific as the angry hero who chops off the villain's hands for daring to touch his wife. 👏
The music that played while Jalal and Jodha hugged was beautiful and so was the way Jalal told her "kaise na aate hum, Jodha Begum". What a hero, what a husband!!! 👏
The CVs went all out to share the credit among many positive characters this time. So the credit for saving Jodha went to - besides Jalal, of course - to Anar, Man Singh, Birbal, and Fazl also. Great going 😆 Those who wanted only Jalal to do the rescue act - please bear with the CVs. They have a host of characters who have to do something to justify their presence in the show. So today we even had Maryam Makani put in a cameo appearance along with Bakshi.
Btw, Man Singh also has the JIT capabilities, Abhay. Remember once earlier, he had rescued Jalal from Abul Mali's captivity in an almost similar manner as today, the trademark shower of arrows announcing his arrival before we could sight the man himself?
How could I forget Bakshi's sacrifice? She has taken off to try and save Jodha from SD. What were the retinue of soldiers and bandis doing while she vanished from under their noses? Something definitely is going to happen to her now. Just what it is, we will have to wait and watch.
Precap is scary and may be the start of a new track. Jodha is coughing up blood and is probably suffering from the same infection as the one she was treating. In that case, Ruq may not allow her entry into the palace just as she had not allowed the sick bandi earlier from staying in the palace.
{Incidentally, unlike the show, while male physicians were allowed entry into the harem, mostly till the entrance to the harem, the patient herself stayed behind a curtain. }
