I dont think it would shut down. Shows with much lower ratings r still on. Infact ekta n zee stood by pavitra rishta even when the show was no where near top 20.

it is the guess work of some media people. they too know that just for a month or two if trp is a little less due to various reasons the show will not end. presently for the past 2 or 3 weeks still it is in top 20(of course it was in top 5 from 40 episode to 400 episodes) the story line has taken u turn and episodes are focusing on jodha and akbar now. it takes some time for people to know about it and comeback to watch it and thereby trp also increases.
