CHAPTER- 11

Jodha who had no clue when sleep had taken her gets up, rubbing her eyes and sees Jalal sleeping on the couch, like a small child, she smiles seeing this. That is when she notices a gash on Jalal's cheek and she thinks has he been in a war or what? She somehow composes herself and scolds her heart for showering extra concern on Jalal. It is indeed breezy as it is evening so she goes and puts the duvet which she was covering on Jalal, because she could see no other duvet and decides to go out and freshen up, but then she thinks what will she wear? That is when sees' a green coloured chaniya choli kept on the table with some jewellery which included everything she wore. Jodha simply leaves the khema to freshen up, but deep inside she is touched by this gesture of Jalal. Deep down her shattered heart had begun healing. Jodha thinks why did she cover the duvet on Jalal? But she did not have the answer. Jalal who gets up after some time of Jodha's departure, his shocked to not find her in the room, various questions pop out in his brain, where is she? Has she run away? He is just about to leave the khema, the moment he sees Jodha entering the khema his heart is at peace. Jodha had noticed Jalal worried face and says- Hum bhag kar kahin nahi ja rahe the Jallad? Jalal says to himself- see Jalal she knows you inside out, she knows what you are thinking, all because she still love you. Jodha sees' Jalal lost in his world and decides not to disturb him. Jalal is dragged out from the world of thoughts by the sound caused by the kangan's fall. He turns towards Jodha who gives an oops look. That is when Jalal realizes how beautiful she looked in this green chaniya choli. Green colour just complimented her beauty. Jodha had almost finished her shingar, only one thing is left, she has to put on the anklets in front of her, but the sight of the anklet saddens her. As, she is reminded of the anklet which Jalal had gifted her and she lost them, Jalal noticed her sadness but could not decipher its reason. Jodha composes herself and quickly puts on the anklet. Jodha drapes her diaphanous dupatta and looks in the mirror to check whether everything is in place or not and then gets up. Meanwhile, a soldier comes and tells that the ved's daughter has arrived with the lep, Jalal asks the soldier to send her in. Meanwhile Jalal is opening his Jama standing in front of the mirror as he is getting a clear view of Jodha sitting on the couch opposite to the mirror. He smiles seeing her fuming. Jodha fumes thinking- He knows he is hot. Then why on earth does he need to show his six packs to ever one? I just feel like smacking him. No sooner she sees' a bandage on Jalal chest her anger vanishes and tears are formed in her, she closes her trying to force back her tears and she succeeds in doing so, this also noticed by Jalal. This when the ved's daughter enters, Jodha notices that she is pretty, but fumes when she sees that she is totally smitten seeing Jalal. Jalal who is enjoying all this tries his level best to suppress his laughter. The ved's daughter greets both Jalal and Jodha and introduces herself as Sita. She comes near Jalal and open his bandage, more than opening the bandage she is touching Jalal more than needed, Jalal is feeling uneasy but decides to remain quite because he want to know whether this affects Jodha or not. Jodha who all the while is burning in the flames of jealously says to herself- Naam to sita hai par harkate dekho to soorpnaka jaise kar rahi hai. After opening the bandage sita for sometime does nothing except drooling over Jalal's body as if it is a feast for her. Jodha could not handle it more nobody on earth had the right to drool over her husband. He is hers and only hers. Sita takes the paste of lep from the bowl and is about to apply it when Jodha says- SITA... scaring sita as she knew she is caught red handed. Jalal says to himself- she is in drunk of jealousy, totally. My Jungli billi till when can you avoid me. Jodha composing herself continues- Hum Jallad ko lep laga denge tum jao. Sita gives a questioning look as she has no clue to whom Jodha is referring to. Jodha realizes what she had said and says- humara matlab Shehanshah. Jalal could clearly feel the sarcasm in her tone while she called him Shehanshah. Sita gives an agitated look and leaves. Jodha comes near Jalal and begins applying the lep gently; Jalal could clearly see her brown orbs carrying her pain. Jalal could not help but tease her, he says- Jungli billi tumhe badbu( bad smell) a rahi hai kya? Jodha questions- Kaise badbu Jallad? Jalal says- Jalne ki. Jodha immediately understand what is he trying to say and counter replies - hum nahi jal rahe the us Soorpnaka se? Jalal gives a light laugh when he hears Soorpnaka. Jalal thinks - Jodha you can run, you can hide but you can never escape from my love. By know Jodha had finished bandaging Jalal, she says- lo ho gaya. Jalal puts on his Jama and orders dinner. Before sleeping Jodha goes for a stroll and she sits down beside a lake and thinks over the incident that had occurred today. Tears gush down her cheeks, she knew only one thing for sure that even though Jalal had butchered her heart she could not stop loving him. She has to leave Jalal because he is affecting her and she does not want to commit the same mistake again of giving her heart to him, because she could not handle heartbreak. She gets up to leave Jalal again and this seemed like forever, her heart is heavy, ceased tears again begin to brim in her eyes. She says with heavy heart- Hume sham karna Shehanshah hum phir se apko chod kar ja rahe hain. Par kya kare vapas apke hathon se apna dil nahi tudva sakte hain. Hum apse bahut adhik prem karte hai par hum un ghavaon(wound) ko nazar andaz nahi kar sakte jo apne hum diye hai. Aur agar hum apke pas rahenge to humare pas koi chara nahi hoga sivaye apko apna hirdaiye dene ke. . Hume shama karne hum chahake(willingly) bhi ap ke nahi ho sakte.She begins moving hastily because she in no time Jalal would find out that she has ran away. Jalal who was desperate waiting for Jodha gets restless and decides to go and find her. The moment reaches the spot he fails to find her, he comprehends the whole scenario. He thinks he should have known this would happen in the near future and decides to find her as she could not have gotten far because she is already so weak. Jodha who is pacing fast with all her might, but she could not continue for long, because she is too tired to continue. She sits on the rock nearby and thinks- If she runs away what's the use? He will again find her and if he asks her why did she run away. What will she reply? Because she loves him and he affects her that's why she ran away, never in her lifetime she will tell him that she loves him. She needs to go back before Jalal comes. She gets up and begins pacing back towards the tents that is when she sees Jalal and she freezes at her spot and thinks what now? Jalal gets relived when he sees her. Jalal asks in serious tone- kahin ja rahi thi ? Jodha says- haan.. this when Jodha realizes what she had just said she composes herself saying haan hum bas ghum rahe the. Jalal says- sach mai. Jodha gets irritated and says- Hum kahin par bhi jae humari marji hai. Tumhe ab koi hak nahi hai nahi janne ki hum kahan ja rahe hai aur nahi jasosi karne ki samjhne ki. Samjhe kya jallad and she begins moving towards the tents. Jalal stood there absorbing what she had said how she focused on ab , she made it clear that he had right on her but not now. He heads back to the tents. Jodha goes inside the tent and sits on the bed and decides to sleep, because she desires to escape this world that is when Jalal also enters the tent. Jodha asks - tum yahan par kya kar rahe . Jao apne kheme vahan jakar so jao. Jalal smiles at her and replies- Yeh humara kheema hai jungilli billi. Aur tumhe yahin pe sona padega kyunki aur koi kheema khali nahi hai. Jodha gives an irritated look and gets up and says pointing at the couch- hum yahan so jayenge. Jalal says- jarort nahi. Jodha knew that Jalal is not used to sleeping on a couch. She simply goes near the bed and puts some pillows in between and takes the duvet and is about to sleep this when says- Tum yahan par so jao . pointing at the other half of the bed which is empty . She continues par apne seema ko langhane ki koshish mat karna and she sleeps , she covers her whole face with the duvet. Jalal smiles at her statement and she takes his duvet and sleeps besides her. He knows that she still cares and loves him. But she is not ready to show the affection.
