having said that, Jalal is also a father..as much as we r upset, he is also upset and sad for this, in fact much much more than any of us...after all it was him who had to take such strict decision...he must have thought this step will make Salim stronger and teach him a lesson of life along witnessing a true picture of how commoners lead their lives.

agree tamy. Of course Jalal will be hurt and will be suffering as he loves Salim more than himself. But the problem is Salim cannot figure this out nah..He is young and too early to understand everything. One good thing about going to that commoner house is that Ruks cannot drug him. what a relief.

We all know Jalal started at very young and became an emperor at 13. But his circumstances were like that where as with Salim its totally different. He has not yet gone through what Jalal has gone through, so how Salim takes and views it will be different from Jalal.

I have always seen Kids born to very Smart but very very controlling parents lack confidence in them. Its the pressure. This I am talking in General not from Jalal's POV..

exactly Sindhu..what Jalal had to face was his majboori not his choice..he lost his father at a tender age of 11...toh majboori mein he had to sit on throne at 13! he had his Khan Baba and Maham Anga to train him...Salim has no such majboori and he has his parents for guiding him...so he doesnt need to be put on experiments at every drop of hat...he will learn gradually but definitely not everything at a time!!!!

all JJ need is to make him sit and tell him where he went wrong and what he supposed to do if such situation arises again and advice him...only punishment se bacche darr jate hai seekhte nahi..Salim ko bitha ke sikhana hai, batana hai kyu usse sazaa di jarahi hai naaki galti ki aur sazaa di aur bhool gaye! I am sure Salim still didnt get what he is punished for.

Hi Tamy and Sindhu 😊

Agree with both of you.

Jalal is absolutely correct in his place as a shehenshah, in wanting to make the young prince face the consequence for his mistake.
However, as a father, had he made the effort to establish a friendlier relationship with Salim, maybe the prince would have felt comfortable enough to come running to him for help, advice and solace, soon after the grievous incident. He did not accept his mistake even on being questioned by his mother, because he very well knew that she would definitely discuss the matter with his father. He was scared of his fathers' reaction.
A child needs to be nurtured with love, understanding, patience and persistence.
Jalal has received his waaris after years of waiting. He loves little Salim and wants to inculcate in him all the good qualities befitting a crown prince. However, it is sad, that in the process of doing so, the father in him has taken the back seat and is unable to relate to the 'child', in the little prince.
