The big leap happened last week. Butt butt surprise is that the make up does not suit the 15 years shown. Now if Salim is 8 years old then 9+4=13 years leap has happened in reality frm time HH died. But somehow Akbar looks the young 20 year old only, Jodha looks like a new bride only in 20s. I think they must do better make up. Akbar and Rahim looked like friends than father-son. I shall not dwell into the left out tracks of past.
But I am curious -
What happened to Sharifuddin?
What happened to Sujamal death track?
What about the chittor war issue?
What happened to abul mali?
Where is Hakim?
What happened to Mah Chu Chuk?
Will they show past episodes to show all this?
I found the Salim- Anarkali story of being soulmates utter Bollywood drama. Because anarkali was born Salim heart started beating? I mean if they had shown something like this for nur jahan atleast we could bear it but Salim and Anarkali?
Atleast the kids are all acting well though I found the kid playing Murad acting over his age. He is good actor but the way he forcefully barges in at convo or scenes looks too unbelievable for a small kid. Then comes Haider, Haider was born after HH means he is 4 years elder to Salim. But at 12 years he is shown so much negative whatever is that?
Salim is too soft, how shall he confront Akbar single handedly in anarkali track? I mean look at him as soon as Akbar asks him something or raises his voice Salim is in tears or shivering from top to bottom. Is this the Salim who shook Akbar and Mughal empire during anarkali love affair or later on when he went against Akbar and defied him for 3-4 years? Doesn't seem so to me. I mean in another 10 years or so how can I expect the scared tiny kid to challenge Akbar to release anarkali or expect a war?
Salim is shown scared of sword and wars another big let down in characterisation. Really is this the Salim who went to war at age of 7 and was a successful soldier by Mughal prince standards? Where is that prince attitude that does not fear or care about anyone and the prince who will stand and voice his opinion without fear or favour even before an Akbar?
Salim also looks subued in front of Murad and Haider why? He is the eldest son of emperor. He should be shown braver than rest to speak out to his father. In every family if younger kids want anything they tell elder brother to speak to father is it not? I cannot imagine this soft hearted and sword fearing Salim doing that.
Then we come to anarkali she is too misbehaving for a maid cum dancer even in royal court. Here anarkali has not even joined royal court and is acting much worst than a real nur jahan would have acted in court and with Jehangir and others. I mean really Salim loved this girl? For what? Neither she has beauty or good behaviours or that adab etc expected of girls in 16th century
Why are all kids shown as scared of Akbar? I mean how did soft jhoru ka ghulam Jalal become the fearing father cum Shahenshah Akbar?
Daniyal looks like he required daily trips to agra market on foot to improve his health so gol-matol at such small age he was panting as he walked and I felt may be he shall tell Qutub and Salim to carry him back home.
Qutub is only child who looks mature among these 5 kids.
How come Haider says he is shezada? How did he get a prince designation? Does javeeda come from royal background?
I find Akbar too formal with Salim, Daniyal and Murad I mean where is the father? Only emperor is there.
If Murad is jealous and angry at Salim only Akbar is responsible for that. I mean now its small jealousy what if once big it turns bitter and vicious like Khusrau-Khurram or Dara-Aurangzeb. I mean Salim is small and innocent he cannot understand or correct this fact. But Akbar cannot he see the brewing jealous? Cannot Salima see that? What action have they taken to bring this jealousy towards elder bro to an end?
But one thing I liked is after the fight over injured dove the 5 kids are still friends and together instead of avoiding each other
