Loved ur post and the title. You have said it all and these questions are precisely the reason y I have stopped watching. Leaving aside chittoor which was intolerable jalal's behavior towards jo cut the magic, Jo's apology dent it further and finally ruq going once again free made me give up.

Just reading wu but enjoyed everyone's post here and the hilarious takes..

Sorry for deviating, but wished to share the episode I watched yesterday the dek scene before shivani's wedding . I have watched Benazir track only in bits and pieces so was pleasantly surprised to see this episode and in this present climate it looked even more beautiful.

It started with the reunion of sukany and jo after sukanyas wedding. It's always a pleasure to watch them both together and jo longingly told how she was missing those days and her and feel at times so lonely here. I guess jo though have salima , their relation has always been more on respectful terms and she should have really missed those banters with sukanya. Though we grew up we always seem to miss the innocence of childhood isn't it?

There was another cute scene of dadisa gifting all the Mughal begums and hb gifting jo with Mughal dress. The scene of the day was jo walking into dek in Mughal dress with that amazing bgm . and it was made more cute when Rahim joined the dancers . Jalal was so captivated with jo's smile that only an eyelock from jo made him remember he was in dek and that too in gringha mode . He so tried but failed to avoid seeing her. There was a reminiscence of sukanya's wedding too when jalal finds jo's nose ring loose and automatically tried to correct her .. But couldn't leave it there so called jo in the night for his famous jibe now, "Though you look beautiful in this ,Benazir would have looked better ,but it seems jo has grown wiser to his antics and hence replied .. I don't care anymore and would be happy to give it if you please and would be even better if you ask hb to do so..".. But Could our shehenshah leave it there ...You always seems to say onething and do another and hence I wonder what should be going on your mind whenever you insult me.A classic way of jalal's asking Do you have any feelings for me.. and poor jo has to duck the question and state she is leaving,But she stands there for a moment caught in a dilemma of wanting to spend some more time with him or leave the place before betraying herself.

Jalal notices this with smile and says her "Ah you have proved me right jodha begum by standing there and not leaving",now jo leaves and jalal stops her by giving back her fallen ankle and give it back to her with that special handhold ... How would he ever miss an opportunity like that ...

The episode also had maham,ruq and Benazir but it was not jarring at all and the overall tone of the episode was so positive that I was left wondering what has gone amiss between then and now...

The only thing I could see was back then though there were many villains the focus of the show was always on ja their pain,happiness etc.. as it should have been ..Sadly in the race for TRP's the overall focus has been changed and villains are glorified and left us in a disheartened state of once adored drama.

The shenshah who submitted himself before kalmia, the son in law who showed unconditional love and respect by gifting ratanpur to sukanya , the husband who fought for justice and honour of his wife punishing his own sister , the lover who took care his spouse as a precious doll and the father who stood bearing all the pain of a son's(hasan) death yet supporting his wife and giving her a reason to live all seems to be the distant memories of the past .The jo who was so dignified, full of self-respect who even showed that if needed she can live a life on her own rather living on mercy of someone also seems to be lost.

What we have now seems to be the fabrication of cvs and I could no longer connect them to ja I used to adore and only left with questions ...

ONLY part that was really worth mentioning is RUKU - THE DAYAAN 😃 😆 , aur both kids were good too 😳 just saw a glimpse of the children n precap 😃
Man , he was cute too (maybe rahim) 😳 , wish atleast he gets gud dialogues n screen space rather our poor chaps Toddy , MS , Aziz etc 😕

Very well written. Sukanya track was amazing. even I watched that one again 2-3 days back.
You have desrcribed what the show was then very well and what it is now is nothing but stupidity personified. it's not the same and never will be. How sad that is.

I hope there is something good in the upcoming episodes with all these cute kids. I couldn't tolerate baby romance yesterday and I can't watch a 9 year old Salim romancing an 8 yr old Anarkali either. it's plain gross. Ruk will start with her scheming and plotting too. I just wish for a little positivity now that the palace is buzzing with kids. *fingers crossed*

Thanks neetz and true it would be good for a change if they showed something positive with all these kids around.Rahim used to bring in a lot of joy with him.But i'm also not happy with the way its now showing baby romance .I didn't see but guessed from ur updates that they have started it even before birth.I don't know whether to laugh or what when i read the lu that salims dhil started functioning with anarkalis birth.why should they do all this theatrics? Couldn't they leave this so called epic romance between sa alone and concentrate sometime on the simple joys the childhood brings with?btw did they by any chance showed fatepur sikri?

wen we got murad spoiler yesterday I was so shocked and angry..but Radhika these articles and writers don't know much about history..lets wait and watch ...yesterday..but Jiya messaged me saying jalal went to meet hamida not other begum and he came back to jodha..later read LU update..and I got confused after reading that...only one thing made me happy was that shaguni called rukku daaayan..mere dil ko sukoon mila..i asked jiya wen she called rukku daayan wat did rukku tell..how she reacted...bad luck is that time that daayan was not thr wen shaguni bai called her daayan.. kash ye jalal aur jodha ke saamne kaha hoti..

Coming to SA..wat crap are they showing Radhika... this much importance and advertisement was not given to JA and the love story ..wat they are doing..common..at the age of 1 yr wat kids ill know about love..they don't know apart from thr mother's love and warmth...here they showed salim's heart started beating after kali's birth..total disgusting..after all they are showing tabeez wala love nature wala love and now heart beat wala love they are showing..

We all thought they il end up this show post SA track in another 6 months..now it seems kids il be in this show for atleast next 3 months..and then SA track..that il be dragged for another 3 -6 months..and then salim's marriage with man bai... man bai was salim's first love and crush too..here they il show is as second love..coz noori il come into picture only after 1611...after akbar's death..cv's plan is to confuse us about two women in salim's life..thr thought is we il think about kali and noori..but acc to them it il be kali and man bai..now rukku il try to separate salim from jodha..and In SA case salim il realize jodha's value and goes back to her and then they il show him falling for man bai and then thr marriage...now its confirmed..salim marriage and Daniel murad death other kids and akbar's grand children...this show il run min 2 more years...so no chutkara for us...

Priya, we can only hope.. Rahim was the only one who brought in positivity and joy. I even liked when they showed him playing with the ball and finding the finger glove. he is adorable.
Baby romance was pukeworthy. it started right from the womb yr with Salim poking Zilbahar's tummy then after her birth keeping his hand on her head, forehead kissing and smiling too. CVs are mad. At this age kids are innocent and they don't go around falling in love. Shaguni's dialogue on seeing the taveez ki rishta jud gya hai..dil se dil mil gaye something and khoon jaise rang hoga mohobbat ka and all was OTT. CVs forgot they are dealing with babies here. Where is the innocence and naivety of kids in all this? I can digest to an extent if they show him playing with Ms. Pomegranate. I will tolerate that.
No sign of fatehpur sikri. they are in Agra only. 😕

Really, the love story of SA is being shown to be more epic than JA's. It has started right from the time Anarkali was in her mother's womb. Yesterday's episode was pathetic.

I feel the CVs may show only Nur Jahan, not the others.

Shaguni calling Ruq daayan indicates that Ruq may do something evil in near future. I would also like to see her being punished. But I think that is still far away.

If the leaps continue like this, the kids may grow up pretty soon.

Gem, if you have left the show, then why worry how many years it drags on for?😆Relax and enjoy life🤗
