September 30 2014 JA | Ruq Downfall | Finally a Jashn for the Twins...!!!

There is still no development of the story on Ruqaiyya's front, which makes me wonder how Ruqaiyya can be exposed if she doesn't do anything wrong..!! Even last night, Ruqaiyya was trying hard to be the Good Mother to Hussein on her own, without help from the daima. If she had any intentions to take away Hasan also from Jodha or prove Jodha a bad mother, she is certainly not acting on them right now. May be looking after Hussein alone is proving to be more than a handful to Ruqaiyya and so she is not in the position to think about anything else.

Nothing excitingly new happened in the episode last night except the announcement of a Jashn (read Big Trouble) for the twins. The same stereotype of "a good mommy, happy baby and a bad mommy, crying baby" was rehashed again. Javeda makes a hue and cry after catching Zeenat feeding something to Hussein.

The episode opens in the DEK where a section of the riyaya is singing hosannas to Jalal, just as he enters. This is a group of Hindus come to thank Jalal for abolishing the jaziya and to present him with gifts for his waaris. Jalal is touched and promises that henceforth, there will be no discrimination in the Mughal Sultanat on the basis of religion. The riyaya returns this grand gesture with a grander gesture by declaring that they will control prices of commodities so that no one has to suffer in the kingdom. Everyone is suitably happy with this mutual respect and cooperation. 😊

Danger...Jashn Ahead

Later Jalal calls a conference of his close associates from the harem as well as the court. He reveals that he wants to throw a grand Jashn for the twins on the day after the next day, i.e., on Dusshera, where he wants to introduce the waaris to the awaam. Hamida Bano and Ruqaiyya are against taking the twins into the public, as they are still too small. But Mahesh Das aka Birbal feels that Jalal should introduce the twins to the awaam and tells Ruqaiyya that only time will tell if it's the correct decision or not. Jalal agrees to go with Birbal's decision.

Jalal Learns to Burp the Baby

In a cute scene, Jalal is petulant that Jodha has no time for him. So he wants to share her responsibilities and spend time with Hasan. Unfortunately, Hasan has no concern that his father is an emperor and wets his clothes. But Jalal refuses to give up. He holds on to Hasan and insists on learning to change the baby. Jodha informs him that she learnt to take care of babies from her bhabhisa. She also teaches him to burp the baby and make him sleep on his left side.

This crash course in taking care of a baby is immediately useful for Jalal, as he shows Ruqaiyya just how well he has learnt the fine art of being a hands-on father. Note the normalcy in the relationship just a day (?) after Ruqaiyya publicly insulted him and Jodha and insisted on looking after Hussein herself with the help of a daima. Ruqaiyya is suitably impressed. But of course, he cannot tell her that he has learnt it all from Jodha. 😕

More Help to Ruqaiyya

Though Ruqaiyya had announced that she needed no help from anyone and would manage just fine with a daima, the entire Mughal khandaan seems keen to help her out with the baby. In another scene, Hussein is bawling his lungs out and Ruqaiyya is at her wit's end, not knowing how to make him sleep. Hamida Bano herself comes to Ruqaiyya's rescue and puts both Hussein and Ruqaiyya to sleep. But she is a smart grandmother. Instead of staying put to watch over her sleeping grandson, she delegates the duty to Zeenat and goes off, presumably to sleep herself.

Well, good for Hussein that there are so many hands to look after him when Ruqaiyya is unable to cope, which is quite often. But after what happened in the DEK on Monday, somehow I can't understand how everyone is so normal with Ruqaiyya so soon?

Oh, She Can Manage

On the other hand, Jodha needs no help from any quarter to take care of her child and keep him happy always. Not that any help is forthcoming from any one. But this is so UNFAIR..!! Why is more concern shown to Ruqaiyya than Jodha? Esp when it's Jodha who is recovering from a difficult pregnancy and an even more difficult childbirth...

There is just a cursory scene of Salima and Rahim playing with Hasan. 😕

Zeenat is Caught

The Mirza couple is excited that a jashn will allow them a chance to harm Hussein. But an impatient Zeenat cannot wait till then and feeds Hussein a diamond, as soon as she gets a chance. But our dear Javeda sees this and makes a hue and cry about it. This leads to the precap.

A distraught Ruqaiyya wonders if Zeenat has fed a diamond to Hussein, who is apparently not making any sounds now, as per Javeda. Zeenat denies doing anything. Jalal shouts at her to keep quiet (the famous promo of Khamosh..!!).

If Jalal is already shouting at Zeenat for doing something to Hussein, then how is she able to harm both the babies as per the spoiler?

Here's my update for the Monday episode. Sorry for being late.😳

September 29 2014 JA | Ruq Downfall | Lahore Conspiracy

This track is getting more and more interesting, as we go along. Since Sunday, there was a lot of speculation as to who Zeenat (the dai who is supposed to repeatedly attempt to kill the twins) might be and who the hand behind her might be. Many of us initially felt that Zeenat may be a pawn of SD and his father.

On Monday, the curtain lifted on Zeenat Begum (who is not a maid in the show) and her husband, Mirza Qasim. They have arrived all the way from Lahore to congratulate Jalal on the birth of his sons. There's a happy family reunion and Ruqaiyya jumps at the opportunity to request Zeenat Bhabhijaan to be Hussein's Dai Ma. Little does she know that the couple has come to seek revenge against Jalal by killing his sons. Zeenat wastes no time in trying to get rid of Hussein. This is better than the Atifa track, where we had to endure her doing nothing for many days. Zeenat is better looking too.

The episode opens with Hussein crying. Ruqaiyya is unable to calm him or make him sleep. Some begums tell her that Hussein knows that she is not his real mother; Jodha is. Ruqaiyya is upset with their remarks and shows them out.

The hakima comes to check the children. Jodha announces in front of everyone that she would prefer to bring her child herself and does not need the services of any dai ma. This may be because Jodha does not trust anyone, as she feels anyone may try to harm the twins.

She notices that Hussein is crying in Ruqaiyya's lap. She takes him into her arms and he stops crying immediately. Jodha offers to help in taking care of him also. Ruqaiyya refuses pointblank and takes back Hussein. Without any compunction, she states that she has the sole right to decide about Hussein and that she would never let Jodha have any rights over him as a mother, not even as a dai ma. Ruqaiyya then turns haughtily towards Gulbadan Begum and asks her to arrange for a good dai ma.

Most Shocking Scene

This was perhaps the most shocking scene so far since last week, at least. Not because of Ruqaiyya's behavior. She cannot be expected to behave any better. On Monday, she just outdid herself. She insulted both Jodha and Jalal. By stating that she wanted a new dai ma for Hussein every six months, she made it clear that she didn't want Hussein to think of any other woman as his mother ever. This was a clear allusion to Jalal's relationship with Maham. It was also an indirect insult to Jodha, who became "another woman" for Hussein the moment she handed him over to Ruqaiyya. 🤢😡

Though it is good to be careful like Jodha, it doesn't pay to be haughty like Ruqaiyya, esp towards the emperor in the DEK. No doubt, Maham had misused her position as dai ma to Jalal. But Ruqaiyya could have made her insecurity about the dai ma clearer, without being insulting to Jalal. And she should have known better than to trust an outsider with her baby, given the recent events in Agra.

No, I was not shocked by Ruqaiyya's behavior at all. I am shocked by the calmness with which Jalal, his mother and aunt and Salima Begum took the affront to Jodha (and Jalal). Surely one of them could have tried to convince her otherwise. No one did. At last, when she swept out of the room with Hussein, someone should have come and consoled Jodha. No one did. She just stood there, rooted to the spot, hurt deeply but unable to say anything to anyone.

Being a mother, Jodha cannot help thinking about Hussein and whether Ruqaiyya is taking care of him, as she should.

Most Beautiful Scene

Jalal walks in and the three of them - Jalal, Jodha and Hasan - seem so happy just to be with each other. :) It was a wonderfully precious moment.

Mirza Qasim and Wife Arrive

Humayun's step-brother Kamran had apparently fought many a pitched battle against Humayun and even plotted to kill his own brother. At last, the ever patient Humayun decided to blind him.

Mirza Qasim is Kamran's son, and, unknown to Jalal, has come to kill his heirs, using his beautiful wife Zeenat.

He is received warmly by Man Singh and later in the court by Jalal and the royal family. His wife Zeenat Begum looks like a beautiful, well-bred woman, who is supposed to look after children extraordinarily well.

As soon as Ruqaiyya sees Zeenat, she zeroes in on her as the dai ma for Hussein. The other senior ladies of the harem, who are smitten by Zeenat agree at once. Jalal is a bit worried and unsure about Zeenat as the dai ma for his son. But Ruqaiyya prevails as usual. And in the end, Jalal does give his consent, albeit reluctantly. Why Jalal didn't try to convince Ruqaiyya to consider Jodha taking care of Hussein, being the natural mother, instead of trusting an outsider, will remain a mystery at least till the end of this track. Is this again a sign of a TE, the way we saw in the Atifa track? 😲

Zeenat - The Dai Ma

Zeenat agrees most easily to Ruqaiyya's request to be the dai ma for Hussein. Almost immediately, she tries to kill him by throwing him from the window. She is stopped in just the nick of time by Ruqaiyya, who inquires casually why Zeenat is standing near the window.

The Conspiracy

The CVs seem to have learnt a good deal from the Atifa track. This time, they are showing everything as clearly as daylight. No suspense or fudging facts. :)

The two conspirators - Mirza Qasim and his wife Zeenat - recount their brief history so that everyone is clear about who they are, from where they have come and what their mission in Agra is. Thank you, CVs.👏

Mirza Qasim and his wife, Zeenat, elaborate on their mission - they are here to kill Jalal's twins and extract revenge for his father blinding Qasim's father, Kamran. Zeenat mentions how Ruqaiyya has made her task easier by appointing her as the dai for Hussein.

This plot does not seem to have anything to do with SD or his father ???

Jodha is also, for once, alert to the possibility of someone attacking the children. And she is, therefore, on her guard. Like Jalal, she too is not keen on Zeenat acting as the dai for Hussein but keeps her views to herself. Gulbadan Begum apprises her about Mirza Qasim's background and tells her that Mirza Qasim is quite different from his father, Kamran. Jodha remains unconvinced.

Additional Scene

There was an additional scene of SD and his father grumbling about the abolition of jaziya, leading to reduction in their salary and the increasing clout of Hindus in the court with their coterie. It remains to be seen if this discussion led to SD using Zeenat as a pawn or if this group has nothing to do with Mirza Qasim's conspiracy.

Precap

Zeenat starts to make her move. She tries to poison Hussein by feeding him something. Javeda sees her and asks her what she is doing.

Troubling News

Earlier I had thought that this is Ruqaiyya's downfall track. Not sure now. One, they are still harping on Maham's curse. Secondly, the CVs seem to have introduced the Mirza Qasim angle to reduce the gravity of the allegations leveled against Ruqaiya Begum. Thirdly, Ruqaiyya is still above board and has not done any mischief as yet.

So she may still get off lightly, if at all she is caught in her own web of trying to become the MUZ. 🤢

It was a treat to watch Jalal demonstrating his fatherly skills.😊 The HAPPINESS was evident on his face, which was the result of new responsibility he had taken as a FATHER😃

Hi Radhika,
You have summed up everything beautifully.I think what Birbal said yesterday in DEK has some significance . With his great intellect,he may have already deduced that there is a possibility of foul play
if the twins are left with daima during jashan and would have preferred to bring them along and so i believe he might have a role in exposal of zeenat.
and as far as precap It all very well could be ruq's dream and in fear of hussain being taken from her,may be she might have kept quiet or if it happen in real also zeenat might twist it and escape . May be i'm thinking too much but couldn't understand what is there for zeenat to gain by killing just one baby.
she should try killing both right?so may be it all could just be a ploy of her to bring both babies together .she might very well suggest the babies have some bonding time and then try harming both

The only logical explanation I can see is that we will again get the kind of TE we saw in the Atifa track. Jalal is supposedly pretending to be friendly with Ruqaiyya but keeping a watch on her so that he can catch her when she makes the slightest slip. Jalal is also apparently watching Zeenat and Qasim, while overtly being friendly with them.

This TE is quiet about Jodha being deprived of her right to her child as a mother and about her being insulted publicly - again apparently all for a good cause - to catch those who wish to harm his babies and Jodha.

We are again hearing speculation about how Jodha will be completely hand in glove with Jalal and allow him to hand over Hasan too to the suspects - literally using him like a lamb to bait the wolves. As a mother, I would not be able to take such a huge gamble with my child's life after already having to give up one child completely. Jodha is doubtless a queen with a greater sense of responsibility and vision than me. Still how easy would it be to knowingly hand over a new born premature baby to a suspected child murderer?

We are also hearing speculation that since Ruqaiyya has not done anything so far, she may be provoked by Zeenat to harm Jodha and Hasan. This again is NOT a good idea in my mind.

There is a huge difference between Ruqaiyya being bad on her own and being instigated by someone else. The latter case would warrant lesser punishment, as Ruqaiyya would claim that she had been misled by Zeenat. 😕

I saw the Monday epi and have not seen yesterday.
Got few random thoughts regarding the episodes.
I think none of them really know what is public insult. 😡Yesterday my mum also asked me why all are just quite when Ruks talking with no manners.( My mum also watch and she sound cute when talks about ruks)
May be they, the Agra people have not overcome or come out of ruks overdose of fake goodness for 4 months of Jo pregnancy. We got a leap and not seen what all she did. I hope the magic wear down. Besides that, she have been always like this and it seems all are immune to it ready. They also might think that she is stressed out with sudden burden of taking care of baby.( for some extent it is true and i'm liking her not at getting any peace of mind due to her own doings. Saying all this does not mean i'm supporting them. Actually I dont like at all how all are silent. What not no one came forward to console Jo. For her the public insult is small matter. She is more hurt of not being with her son. Sometime small hurt will be camouflaged by even greater pain. All of them are not at all sensitive to see her turmoil and all busy with their own thinking. And I guess Jo is still not shattered because the innocent Hassan is the one actually holding her together, distracting her from going down on depressing thoughts of sorrow. Jalal needs real electric shock to come out of jaan begum's magic and my hope running low. Stop oscillating from disgusted of ruks mode to i'm-all-ok- with- you mode Jalal.

Why Ruks have not started any of her plan? Simply because no one have not uttered the password for her now stopped working shaazish brain, MUZ. Let me tell you the moment someone speak of Jo as MUZ, all brain cells of Ruks starts to work. MUZ word is like a trigger point to activate Rukkism. This have happen many times before.

I think Ruks punishment got postponed due to arrival of Zeenat and Qusim. I'm sure that it is ruks downfall track but it may not happen this week. its just too soon. The good winning evil in promo is for J&Q not ruks. May be that will make the reverse farman to work. And jashn means trouble. But this time i'm looking forward to it. Who knows ruks might start her work(sure someone will tell that Jo is future MUZ).

For now I want both baby and mum to be united as soon as possible. And I dont want Jalal using Atifa method to bring out the truth. As if there is no other method. Having Birbal may be can hope for a better plan.

May be Jodha is not telling it loud but she is regretting immensely for giving away the baby to ruks. She is not voicing out. I will say her tolerance lever is very high. But when it reaches the limit she becomes unpredictable. I want her to take mahisasura Marthini avatar.

Did anybody notice that when the Jashna on Dasara discussion was going on and Jalal mentioned it, Birbal made some hand signal. Was Birbal signalling something to Jalal?

Jodha did not support taking babies to Jashna after HB, Ruk and even Maan Singh objected, she was in thought.

As for Ruk bhandafod and punishment - I think just like fake pregnancy Zee and CVs are lying and cheating viewers again. So we were tortured horribly with having to suffer watching Ruk hang around every moment with Jodha and Jalal during pregnancy, Ruk even got the credit for doing the delivery since everybody conveniently forgot that Ruk had put Jodha and babies life at risk in the first place, Ruk has got the baby she wanted.

Now Ruk is back to abusive horrible worst and everybody is just fawning over Ruk - THERE IS NO PUKING EMOTICON HERE OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE USED IT.

Jalal JUST GOES TO RUK FAWNING OVER HER NO MATTER HOW MUCH Ruk insults Jodha and him in public. It seems Jalal has been trained by Ruk to keep his spine in his hojara when he addresses her.

If anybody does not understand the language and watches JA they will think Ruk is the empress and everybody is her servants around to do her bidding. Including Jalal and Jodha who must be the punching bags of the empress!

If the Jalal show off scene was with ANYBODY else I would have enjoyed but I simply cannot watch Ruk anymore.

Zee and CVs are again going on with their Ruk adoration and glorification and we get Ruk shoved in our faces more than Jodha and Jalal put together. I have given up any hopes of Ruk REAL BHANDAFOD AND PUNISHMENT FROM JALAL IN DEK.

As for me not interested in bringing such negativity in my home for 30 mins and watch Ruk glorification so if this does not happen in this track then time to get rid of this habit called JA. Ruk will be the reason to stop watching JA.

As they say you cannot break a habit you need to replace it with another - saw a trailer of another upcoming historical show - won't take name of serial and channel here since not allowed but CVs and Zee are welcome to their Ruk glorification Ruk the great and SA, for me

Purani - NO Jalal is so hen pecked with Ruk that even if Ruk insults Jodha more and him also he will just go back asking for more. Your lines in bold and esp the blue line is bang on. I have given up hopes of Jalal EVER seeing the real Ruk. 😡🤢🤢🤢

It is sickening watching everybody fawn over Ruk.

CVs are in their own arrogant world but if they do not show Ruk BIG BHANDAFOD AND PUBLIC PUNISHMENT IN DEK - they are going to lose viewers who had left after Ruk fake pregnancy track.

I am no longer enjoying JA cos watching popcorn JJ moments is not enough to watch Ruk glorification and 30 mins everyday. I am getting sick of watching Ruk - it is time to break this habit if Ruk is not punished even after this.

I am sorry if I posted an overtly negative thread and spoilt your mood.

Just that no matter what everyone is writing, I am not convinced the CVs are serious about Ruq's downfall. Like you mentioned, we have seen a few tracks in which we thought / expected her downfall, but it never happened. Then we were led to believe that Maham would expose RUqaiyya but that also never happened and Maham carried Ruq's secrets to the grave.

Like I mentioned in my reply to Preet on Pg1, on what basis will Ruq be punished if she does not do anything wrong? So far she has not attempted:

To create a rift between JJ
TO prove Jodha is a bad mother
To seek custody of Hasan
To harm Hasan
To harm Jodha

Choosing Zeenat over Jodha is ethically unpalatable to us but it is not legally wrong for Ruq to do so.

SO far the plot points to ONLY Zeenat and Qasim as the ones with a motive and intention to kill the twins.

I don't know if Zeenat will be cornered by Jalal today but escape citing some excuse. And then attempt to harm both the babies.

If Jalal comes up with the teda plan of handing over Hasan also to Ruq just to catch the mastermind behind Zeenat then I would be disgusted. I mean how can anyone use a child as a pawn or a bait? This track would then be worse than the Atifa track in which Jalal used Jodha to trap Atifa and her "husband".

I didn't see any signalling between Jalal and Birbal. Perhaps I missed it. 😕 But there seems to be something going on between Jalal and Birbal or just in Birbal's mind. That's why he said something like they would come to know only later if taking the twins to the jashn was the wise thing to do. Like you pointed out, when everyone was against taking the kids to the jashn, why did only Birbal stand up and say the contrary thing and why did Jalal accept his word instead of the others?

I am repeating myself in post after post, I know. But this horrible feeling refuses to go away. That just as Maham was actually glorified even in her death and during her "punishment", Ruq may also be glorified similarly. May be the CVs feel there is no female villain to replace Ruq. But there can be so many villains if just history is followed.

Seriously, it's disgusting how everyone is fawning over Ruq and helping her take care of the baby instead of helping Jodha recover from the trauma of child birth. Even when Ruq openly snubs everyone and acts hoity-toity, everyone is still ready to kiss the ground she walks on.

She may be punished later, Maddy. But watching her being feted NOW is unbearable. Who cares what happens to her later if she is not put in her place now for all her inappropriate actions? This may be just a ruse on the part of the CVs to upset us so that we can enjoy her downfall later. But they should keep the NR just a bit realistic and show Jalal ordering RUq to behave decently with Jodha. Also he may go to visit Hussein but he should visit only Hussein; not enjoy a tete a tete with the BEK.
