i agree maddy, many viewers do not know history but what hurts me the most is when important incidents are twisted to cash on it without any moral responsibility..!
For most people what they would have got from today's episode is how liberal and fair Akbar was. Does anybody really know how he learnt of this problem in reality?
i saw one documentary and it stated that he used to go out with his courtiers and that is where he found out what the hindu subjects said about him and it struck him hard..and i agree if they show real akbar then HK will be out of picture as his achievements were way too many to be put on a canvas but this show is about both and they have to insert NRs to show jodha's involvment, which is fine but it would have jived more with history if both were shown coming across such an incident while passing by and then discussing about it rather than making it an ott drama!
What matters is how Akbar was reaches to viewers.
I would also like to see such political tracks in more detail. Far better than haram stuff.

Jalal refused to change law for Jodha, it was not for her but on Birbal's pointing out and when he saw the awam he realized the full implications. So this was not decided for Jodha.
i do not care who he decides for i just wanted the cvz to lay emphasis on awaam and not a tussle between two begums and their cat fights! he should have decided for the injustice being done to one race and not because his begums were unhappy!..maddy the same track if treated in an intelligent way would have made much more sense! why mix harem with real politics?..and by doing so they made a khichadi out of it!
A PM or a President needs advisers to appraise him of problems, they did not have social media like today's times! Still the final decision maker is the one who gets all the credit or the blame also!

As for DEK scene it was for Ruk cos she was vehemently opposing it and to make those having similar views bring the folly of their narrow views to their notice. What better example than Shehenshah's own children and how it will affect them? The message reached home to everybody.
the children did not have to pay the tax so their involvement did not make any sense, its by shariya law that non hindu men pay the tax..and why involve ruk and jo openly in dek..they could have discussions in their own private hojras!..the women being involved made it look silly and sbs types!
The woman trying suicide could be cos if her husband converted she and her children would have to without any choice in the matter.
the incident was just to create this whole drama they had to do it somehow!

For e.g. something I keep thinking, Jodha was shown becoming unconscious in the cart before delivery - as far as I know in such a case a natural delivery is not possible, so how did Ruk do it?
maddy, first of all why they had to take her when that hakima could have come to the palace itself..again falsification of the facts!
maddy i do hope that they do more detailed research before finalizing any important incidents in akbar's life and i think they should also take the moral responsibility of showing the facts with coating of NRs in the most suitable way justifying the characters to the best of their abilities! i am very touchy about people that once lived and their lives are being openly explored and exploited to make money and then these people put disclaimers so that no one can raise a finger against them..just imagine if our life story is shown once we die and is exploited to make money how would our nears and dears feel!!!
