This was such a tender episode, Jodha and Jalal's love for each other, feeling happy at other's happiness and pain also. The love for their babies and the sukoon and contentment at just their small family. Their little oasis in the ugly desert that is Agra haram.
I absolutely loved Jalal today
when he emphatically declared they are MY babies
when he gave such a high right to mother on her babies by saying they belong to mother first and her religion is important - that once the babies learn they will decide what religion to follow. THIS is a true liberal man. What does Ruk even KNOW about him?!
when Jalal was so possessive of HIS Jodha and could not even bear the thought of Jodha praising Birbal!!! How cute was that š Even jealous of his babies taking Jodha's attention away from him š³
when Jalal was so content with Jodha and his babies.
when Jalal overheard Ruk and went to Jodha and understood her jolt at reminded that only one baby is going to be hers and consoled her.
when Jodha questioned Jalal if she did the right thing and the answer he gave her - that "there is only one woman in the world who is capable of doing this"
I loved Jodha - who was beaming in DEK at Jalal's words, not cos he removed Jaziya only, but cos he said he considers all religions equal and he gave such respect to mother. That Jalal also did this cos he did not want Jodha to feel like a second class citizen.
I loved the loving mother content and happy just to look at her babies sleeping peacefully and tell Jalal she does not want anything in life apart from him and their babies.
I loved the Jodha and my heart went out to her when she realized with a jolt it was time to give her baby to other woman for HER happiness and the way she kissed and cuddled her baby and how she could not bring herself to hand her baby over.
I loved the Jodha who asked Jalal if she did the right thing?
I want to say this even now, the decision to give baby was not wrong - the wrong part was GIVING IT TO RUK. If this had brought real happiness to Ruk, if Ruk had let Jodha remain part of her baby's life, as Jodha would have liked Ruk to be a mother to her baby as well - then no matter what the pain now this could have been a good decision. A child needs loving parents and who shower unconditional love on their child.
Ruk is such a LOSER - she does not realize what a gift life had given her - if only she wanted the baby for maternal feelings. She wanted a baby as a pawn in her ugly power game.
I hated the Ruk who said the first thing on getting the baby in her hand to who is now her son - that I took you from your mother who you loved as revenge! No matter how disgusted I felt at Ruk - I felt pity. What can one feel for a woman who can use an innocent child for some audha. She deserves contempt.
I am just glad that since this track started and EVERYBODY is going to hate the baby removed from its loving mother NOT for love - so this next week does not turn out to be a torture but we get Teda Jalal get back his baby to his real ONLY mother.
Precap - Jodha is going to see the real face of Ruk now, so is Jalal. I just hope this sad chapter teaches Jodha that her kindness is not wrong but it has to be tempered with giving it to only a deserving person.
I hope Jalal realizes that Jodha is naive and pure hearted but she needs his firm hand and protection.
PS - I am liking Birbal more and more
