in same way, after Akbar got rid of all those backstabbers of him like MA, Adham, SD and some of the maulavis, it was Salima Begum who became his Chief Political Advisor ... and Akbar always paid her atmost respect and always consulted her before taking any decision...

it certainly doesn't mean, he was incapable of taking decisions... he was very intelligent and witty with a gr8 insight for future, but this was his way to give the respect to his begums by giving them free hand in matters of sultanat... he never crossed his line even being a Shehenshah, and actually showed that he really believes in equality... and that was something, which always makes him gr8...

Wonderful post Diksha. It just shows how really liberal and far thinking Akbar was 450 years back.

It needs brains also to select a great core team and to allocate to them things as per their capabilities.
Akbar chose his advisers well after he got out of the clutches of petticoat government.

Giving prominence to Jodha and Salima was showing such faith in them in those times.
They were not given "only women" issues but cavalry and shipping and trade and political adviser were all very important prominent positions.

Why this Higher/lower kind of comparison at all? Can there not be an appreciative comparison method that says both are "different" and yet equal? After all all human are equal in the final sense of the word. Just that personality types are different and some have some talents and approaches and others have other talents and approaches. Why should that make someone better or worse than another?

Exactly!
I just don't get this 16th Century woman would have to behave this way point! I doubt Akbar would have bothered much with clinging vines, dumb women! He himself was so liberal and valued their opinions and advice.

It does not make him weak to listen to woman's or his wife's advice it just makes him intelligent that he knew which persons advice had merit.

Hi mansi
The episode made me very happy that they are not skipping rana pratap track..
So leap is not there at moment
Udai singh is there so they are weaving the story for the next track
Because the last pillar of petticoat rule or though not a pillar but a vestige of it..rukku is going to fall.
With mahams debacle they need a story puller
So they brought the political track and are weaving the story
Since audience is not based on poli ti cal tracks onl y they will always have a haram drama in background.
Im wondering how rukku continues to be in the story. .
The triumph of jodha will trigger her in a most vicious way.
Im also missing little rahim and his interaction with two munchkins..
Why cant they weave a track around mansingh and mirza..
Btw for a change men are dealing with the problems
And jalals counsellors have been changed from rukku jodhu and saleema to todarmal, mansingh nd birbal..
This is the most lovable fact.
As I wrote in maddys post too
Jodha is right but jalal is also not wrong
Nobody is doubting the nobility of king amd all courtiers aee with him.
Poor jo can get a breather and can do some o ther jobs like getting some new clothes stitched for herself and her shehenshah. .
Royal family's kids can move on with few blankets so they can save money too..
But cvs plz give us a rukku free dinner date and a boat ride before mess

and now abt yest, My Jo is back... perfect queen... no wonder Jalal felt the pain after hearing her words, that she is nothing but the price of his victory over Amer... his words that he can't see her losing, coz her losing means Jalal losing his Jo... and Jalal can never lose... he understands the meaning of her words, that how much he says he loves her, how much he says she is his most fav begum, but where it comes to giving the rights, she will always be treated as inferior or as a trophy wife... that always her self-respect will be compramised..and he very well knows, that Jo will live with hatred , without any love, but her self-respect crushed , then it can cost her life... he knew he hurt her by siding with ruku, and not just for the first time... he knows he again failed her in front of others, and that it only shakes her trust in him... and he is not ready to let that trust of her which he has earned after so much hardwork, go away... he knows till the time she trusts him, he has her unconditional support, that she will always become his strength in even most difficult time, and the main thing he knows, that finally every time she is proved right, coz of her selfless nature and purity... and even this time she is right in her expectations from him as Shehenshah and as her husband... for him that trust and love of her is the his valuable treasure...no wonder , her words of being his trophy wife pained him... coz it marks his failure as her love...and Jalal who has found his heart newly and taken liking for it, is certainly not ready to lose it's power over the lady in that heart...I loved him there for the pain he so clearly shown , caused by her words of losing...

now remains Jo... my fiery, prudent , selfless baaghin was back... a perfect wife and the best queen... the most i loved was her curt reply to Ruku for her interference, and i even felt that she wanted Jalal to support her at that moment against Ruku, but Jalal as usual stood there helpless, and that clearly hurt her and so she paid it back in words that she is mere a trophy wife for him, and that gave him the idea of hurt his silence caused her... those words gave him the same pain , his siding with Ruku gave her... this is Jo, Jalal has always loved...

remember, that night of Jashn for Jo's godbharai, when Jalal welcomed Bharmal, he told BM that he was proud of his beloved begum, coz he knows, if and when she does something there is a reason for that and that he knows that all her reasons r always valid... so even this time he knows she is right in asking equal rights for all subjects, and so he says that she can't lose, means he won't let her lose... coz he knows, when he gives verdict for equality it will win him the trust and respect of not just his subjects but of other kings of hindu states which can only benefit him further in expansion of his own kingdom, that too without war...he knows, if he gave verdict for equality, he will win the support and friendship of the rulers of other states... the only thing he doesn't know is how to do it without hurting his own ppl...

but now he has got a visionery who can give him solution while solving the problems , he faces as Shehenshah and as a husband to his begums of different religions... it doesn't mean Akbar is sidelined or he is shown dumb...he himself was the gr8 visionary else he wouldn't have got those 9 gems in his DEK... but everybody, some or other time needs a helping hand, and Birbal is just fulfilling that need of Jalal...

Jo has given him reason again to show his subjects that he is the best emperor they can ever get... now it's Jalal's decision not to prove his Jo wrong...

Diksha 👏👏👏👏👏
You are ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot add a single word to this!

Good Analysis.

So, story moved, on, Akdha became parents. Ruk, Possievness, Has been started.

Episode was little better Yesterday.Yesterday i liked, Jodha Braveness, she is Own facing,

as, a Hindu, second class treatment. If she not raised this Voice, Yesterday, She + All Hindhu People, suffered a Lot; previous, & present;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;& Akbar Not becomes, Akbar The Great.

Two regliions, Combinding, is not a Easy Job.& Broadness always takes its Cost. But Sometime, Mirror, showing is Necessary;

1, Jodha Own started, To Pay Tax;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;I will Pay Tax. Naturally, as a Husband, Jalal will feel pressurise,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;But ques is Not Jodha will pay or Not, Ques is You want to Expand your kingdom, You can marry Hindhu Girl, But You

You Can't give her freedom. This is troubling, Jalal. Because In Hindustan, Jalal Own knows Power of Ragvancies, His Poicey, is United All, & Rule, But All Is spreading. If He not abloishes, this Tax,Hinduies, internal, goes against, jalal, that is Not Good for Kingdom. If He Abloishes, Muslim, Go Against, Jalal;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;So This Line is Very, Delicate, Cross For Jalal.;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Naturally he will cross this line,

Ruk Wants to become Muz, Heir, has Come, If Jalal Now listen, again Jodha, This Is Defeat for, Ruk,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;So she is, Creating Problem.

1, Is Bigger, journey is Easy, No, i liked, Jodha Show indirectely, Jalal, The Next Way, Now You where standing you Choose;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;your Path. own, way.

2 ,liked, Jalal words, Jodha Begum, you Can't defeat.;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Its feels, Jalal knows, Jodha

Talk is not Light Mooded Its Weight. or He not see Now, her Jodha begum Defeated,👏 👏

3,Birbal, Moto is, Slouate these thing, By, Brain, +way Which needed this time Jalal.

4, Sharrif, +father, Ulama, all knows, if this Tax, Abloishes, Jalal will become, Wide King, then there power will be More Less.

5,But this faith of Jodha, Will give her, Title of, Muz, or others which she deserves. Only Rule we can't do, Power in hands, but, Useing of Brain also be needed.jodha showed it.

6, In this Way, Two relgion, will come clousear, from Heart, Jodha is thinking, Wide, But Others narrow thinking, is a Obstacle.

7, Now Jodha Sons will pay tax, How this effect, Jalal seeing Point is This.?😆 😆

8, Tensen +Birbal, Nok Zhonk was Light Hearted.⭐️ ⭐️ No Body is Less.

9, Tarjoou, secene, Targoou, is Famous for Justice, Jalal is standing confusing, state of Mind,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Not listening Jodha, Also, So Birbal Will do Some slouation.😆 😆

10, Now Intercaste marriage will going to Expand staze, Physically to Parents Parents to King Queen, journey, & King & Queen always, Honest, Hardworking, ( transperent ) likeable.

11, Jodha Involved, Shanti Matter shows, Queens Feels pain for Others, & When Birbal,
Shows, Thousands Hindus, Jalal also felt Pain,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Its a King +queen pain
is Ruk feeled that,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;So Broadness is choosing their Own way.

12, In ths way, Monoply, of One relgion will be finish, others will feel respect, in Mughual Era,Respect of jalal will be increase. Credit goes to Our Jodhu.

Arre wah, you are back!!! How are you feeling??? And as usual a great post. You are perfectly right, the monopoly of any one religion will not do good for the image of Jalal, so he has to allow the diversity of religions in his sultanate to truly establish himself as the Great!

Brilliant Diksha, especially that point in blue colour. Jalal knows fully well that Jodha's point is valid and right but he needs the time and space and strategy to make that idea compatible with his own people.
But now that he has the Navaratnas he can confer with them and get the advantage of many heads being better than one!
One of the hallmarks of great people is that they are open to a vast wealth of opinions from as many quarters as they can get before they make their ultimate decision. The more Jalal banks on the variety of opinion around him, and does not just rely on his own knee jerk reactions he is getting to be greater by the day!
And that wealth of opinion should start from Jodha and go across everybody who wants to give him their view of things! Even Ruq!
Yesterday they even showed Sharif and his father adding their two bits, but that openness of Jalal even to those inimical ones is the hallmark of greatness. He may not like their opinions but he has to be open to everybody whoever they may be with whatever agenda!

mansi, here i am talking about the historical figures who actually lived and their personalities were different from the way faulty portrayal has been shown, and its not a general statement relating to any other couples in general..you may have a different view in relations to the front/back/equal but here i am talking about how real HK and akbar would have been..more royal..more subtle and each knowing their place boundaries and duties!

the tax issue was actually brought to introduce Birbal to audience...good attempt by CVs...this way Birbal not only solve will jaziya but also child issue.
I liked that Jodha was ready to pay jaziya as a Queen and her logic was good that if a Queen doesnt pay tax being Hindu then why will Hindu awam follow it? what I didnt like was, Jodha didnt give Jalal time to think and discuss with his courtiers rather gathered all Hindu bandis to pay jaziya just after her conversation with him..Jalal clearly told her he will discuss then will decide...he was discussing this with TM n others and got to know the losses they will face if they remove jaziya..then he decided to not abolish...it is not that he didnt think of removing..the meeting was over and he found Jodha with bandis standing in a queue to pay jaziya...before he could convey his decision she took the action..I was upset with Jodha for this..had Jalal refused her first then she took this step I would have praised her but this was impulsive.

having said that, we all know Jodha is impulsive..like u cant take Jalal's short tempered nature away from him, u cant take away Jodha's impulsive nature as well.. actually she was being true to her character..besides she witnessed a horrible sight of the tax that made her take this instant decision..probably she knew Jalal wont abolish thinking of the losses...and somewhere as a Hindu it did hurt her morality.

all tam jham brought up to show Birbal's wit...I felt Ruqaiyya was too much...!!...then when is she not?🤔

I felt bad for Jalal..the guy looked like a sandwich...he knows the jaziya is wrong..but he cant abolish it just like that as its a certain Mughal law and it generates a huge revenue for the Saltanat and these r paid in a form of salary to the soldiers...so the decision was indeed very tough...that is why TM didnt argue..he educated well about the losses to Jalal.

Jodha's "haari hui Hindu" made Jalal more sad...this one like ripped him..he felt so bad so that he kept recalling her words standing near tarazu and unknowingly spoke up "hum aapko haarne nahi desakte, aap shikast nahi kha sakti Jodha Begum" awww.🥺 he probably recalled the condition they got married in..what was the pressure to Jodha.

what Birbal will do I tell u...see as per Islam u cannot force a person to convert..it is a great sin and a person doing so is considered as great sinner..it has to be with his own will (wholeheartedly) n other conditions r there...every Muslim knows it..even Jalal too said it...Birbal said Hindu awam is ready to convert...and if every Hindu convert into Muslim at their wills, that means they dont have to pay jaziya as per Mughal law resulting financial loss...and the people who r not able to pay r committing suicide every now n then that is also a loss n sin...sin coz Mughal law making them majboor to suicide...loss coz they r not paying.

so the best way is to remove it keeping Hindus religion intact.

I dont know how child issue will be solved...Diksha suggested a good idea...Birbal is definitely to rescue..probably he will talk about the discrimination between Shehenshah's two children in the same house.

I liked Birbal yesterday...and I take my words back that he is not convincing..in fact he was fab.👏

Yes indeed that dialogue was sensational! We also all got reminded of their marriage days!😳😳😳😳😳
