& to be very frank jodha & other hindu bandis of mahal trying to give the jiziya doesnt make much sense, bcoz the money which they r paying r from jalal's "shahi khazana" only. they dont have any money of their own. point is tht will jodha leave all her luxuries???? even if she pays jiziya she will still enjoy all the luxuries. if she needs sumthing she will still get it. its jalal who will have to bear tht extra burden of the jiziya.

They are completely destroying her character...she is hardly shown to have any motherly affection for her kids...and is shown to be impractical to expect sudden Removal of such a significant source of income. She is the most imbalanced character on the show... Shown to be too kind, and impractical...too emotional fir everyone except her own kids !

Actually I meant love in a sarcastic way! So I guess we agree!

Oh Shreya!
She is a haari hui Hindu. So much for all the Religious freedom Jalal has given her. 😡

Forget about this, it means praja is not his own but acceded upon by invaders...so much for whom India is his country.

The dialogue could simply have been, "after all even I am a hindu"

For once, I will want a soliloquy of Jodha about what she think of this marriage and her husband, at least NOW.

Dear makers..

It's ok to show Jodha as a normal woman (let's not even talk about 16th century royalty) - even terms like busybody and superwomen are not cutting it anymore!

It's ok to show her having her hair dried in sambraani fumes to prevent her getting a cold (since Indians believe that a new mom's body is very prone to illnesses)
It's ok to show her back being massaged to help alleviate the back pain after a traumatic delivery
It's ok to show her lounging in her bed and being waited upon by maids
It's ok to show her being taught by HB how to handle an infant
It's ok to show her missing the 'other' twin
It's ok to show her dictating a letter to her mother explaining all that happened during the delivery and after - and seeking her blessings as she steps into motherhood
It's ok to show her extra-hungry and really sleepy now
It's ok for her to not care about the DEK happenings since she's too tired/too emotional/too happy/too busy with a new baby!

I could go on and on!

Also, it's ok for Jalal to be shown like he has a few grey cells in his upstairs department that does function without the need for others to prompt them with a couple of prongs...
It's ok for the males to take a few decisions without the females constantly trying to influence them either way

😆 He does use his limited grey cells, it's just that others don't use theirs and listen to him.

He had to nod his head INSTANTLY to whatever she says. Time will not be given even for considering pros and cons. Then he is a good pati. Else, not.
Birbal's wife - I want the earrings. I don't care if you have the money or not.
Jodha - You have to abolish Jaziya. I don't care if the state administration can bear the financial burden or not.
Any difference? Except perhaps that the former wants things for herself.

if "hari hui hindu" gets so much privileges, then evryone will love to be tht hari hui hindu. CVs really miss the sensibility. jodha very well knows tht jalal had changed so many rules for the hindus, so she doesnt actually needs to use those hurtful words. she should have simply given the example of tirth kar & gulami pratha to explain her point of view.
