What a brilliant gruesome episode.
Firstly Rajat, Chetan and Ashwini were brilliant. I usually nowadays find Ashwini's shouting very OTT but today she was just super.
I think why they showed all Begums and haram women watching the gruesome end of Adham is cos WE are the ones who are watching it like them. If they had not shown the women's reactions it would have been like some war/action stuff where all violence takes place. The starkness of Jalal's punishment to Adham was more brutul cos women watched it when they could barely do it. In the end GB averted her face.
No matter how much we think Jalal was right in ordering death of Adham Khan to watch it happen was very gruesome. Adham was thrown four times and each time dragged up like some animal carcass.
At all times there was not a single time Adham had the fear of death in his eyes, it was pure hatred for Jalal. Seeing that Jalal's rage became higher and higher.
I watched repeat only to see the reactions of ALL women.
ALL were in shock.
HB and Jodha were holding each other rather Jodha was holding HB and she NEVER tried to stop Jalal from killing Adham. Her reaction was about the MANNER of his death.
HB also could not stand it.
SB was not there at first and when she came - she opened her mouth as if to speak and then she stopped
Ruk also was scared
It is totally another thing to kill enemy and fight war and watch them being killed. There is no emotions involved with the enemies and no personal attachment. Here Adham was not an enemy just 2 mins before the scene also. He was the bad egg of family, who even Jalal when ordering his death called as his brother. Jalal addressed awam saying he killed his dudh bhai brother. So to see the violence inside the sanctity of their home, to see Jalal's life at risk and then to see so much violence has to be shocking.
Jodha's reaction WAS NEVER ABOUT ADHAM it was always about Jalal.
She got scared seeing Jalal in such a rage. I remember Jalal had told Jodha once if she saw him in battle she will not recognize him cos he becomes all crazed or animal like some such dialogues.
Jodha progressively got more scared.
Precap - Jodha is sitting on bed shaking. Jalal walks in totally bloodied with entire face covered in blood. Jodha KNOWS it is not Jalal's blood but Adham's and she is shaking when she gets up from bed away from approaching Jalal. The reaction on her face is shock.
I was surprised when I watched the episode for the first time at Jodha's reaction. After having just seen Jalal totally brutal in rage to see him come near her covered entirely in someone else's blood has to be a shock. Will wait for episode. There is no question Jodha was scared and maybe it was also seeing Jalal entirely covered in Adham's blood.
