You are right Ayushi, the full "shrey" of Adham dirty behaviour has to go to his mother. If we look at his mother through his eyes, he will feel very bad, especially since childhood she herself has made a differentiation of Jalal and Adham. And the other thing that Maham has actively done is to kill his own initiative in making decisions. She always said "Wait, you don't do anthing, you don't have the brains or shrewdness for anything, listen to me and I will tell you what to do!" Won't any boy who keeps on hearing that now think "At last my mother's shadow is not on me and I can now do whatever I like" and he may go overboard and berserk because he is simply unaware or with eyes closed to the consequences of his actions?
Where has he ever been allowed to make any decisions and suffer the consequences so that he can learn from experience?
Even yesterday when he was drinking he was cursing himself for bungling and hurting Javeeda and Atga. He was full of self-deprecation and self-beating! In that rage he then went and murdered all those sipahis and Atga. He has very low self-esteem and that is a very big part of his rage!
