I sometime think, with all his women, he must have searched for a mother figure too, who's selfless, whose world begins and ends with him, who sees herself in him...as we say, children are but extension of parents, their own self...and his search ended with Jodha...the latest promo in which she's hugging him from breaking is certainly a mother cocooning his child from all the worldly pain to keep his soul safe, unscathed.

Rajat has beautifully and brilliantly brought out Jalal's psyche and his character nuances...to the depth of understanding that great man's soul and portraying it.

Ok regarding the portrait issue I think he painted atifa to remember her nd also he was trying to remember if he had seen her before in the harem or not. Since he suspected tht there is sumthing wrong he needed to remember her or think about finding her to clear his doubts. I think if she wouldnt have come for the refuge he would have handed over the painting to atgha to know about her whereabouts. I think when he heard about Kabul his doubts went to MCB nd thus the whole Khyber issue made him more scared about jodha's safety.

Very lovely detailed take for quite a good epi, Divya. U ve said it all though I wasn't particularly satisfied by a few scenes & felt they could have been dealt better. It wasnt about a proper loophole closure to most of the questions asked by us. I never expect these CVs to explain anything properly in our show so wasn't disappointed about that. But I felt the apology scene with the 4 & JaJo s scenes could have been bettered. Will try to write about it later 😊
