I think, he was very ambitious, and unfortunately for him, unlike the Mughal emperors before him, Akbar was an emperor for most of Salim's adult life, I guess he felt stifled and slighted. After all, Babur, Humayun, Akbar all became emperors before they were even twenty.

Atleast Abhishek loves Amitabh and Arjun is still young but Rohan distanced himself from Sunil one back.
