That patience deserted patience, and sense left sense.

The unique king had two sons as successors

Two jewels came into the hands from the casket of success.

Time searching for the date wrote thus:

Two* moons appeared from the zenith.

These two unique pearls of the ocean of holiness, returned to the ample domain of the other world after one month. They flung down the coin of their lives for their father. H.M. felt grieved at the departure of those two early fruits, but trod the pleasant path of acquiescence and resignation, for to the farseeing there is no remedy save submission and resignation against the inevitable Divine decrees.

and what were those scenes of Salima B and Ruk sleeping the sleep of the virtuous while Khyber prowls the harem and makes a beeline for Jo's hojra. Priceless!

There are just 2 ways this track could go.

Either jalal is fooling everyone as he wishes to know if nigaar is in the clear or not. I still believe that he had seen nigaar and the papaya together. If not he could have simply arrested the party and drilled them for the truth if he suspects them. Since he has to handle nigaar sensitively he is playing along with papita.

Or jalal is fooled by others as usual and has fallen for this papaya and his mahaan begum will save him at the end as usual and he will weep and apologize as usual. I really don't mind his crush. All emperors did have their sidetracks. But showing him incapable of proper judgement and being alive again and again only because of his jodha begum is intolerable. Akbar did have an inclination to pretty faces but he was also the best judge of people.
