Some points to ponder on girls... that might add up to the hypnosis/jaadu tona/black magic/spy theories!

1) He drew a picture of Atifa and only AFTER a few seconds realized it was the woman from the bathtub in retrospect - this is not how it works if one is mesmerized. He wouldn't need to be confused about who it was he drew if he was so attracted to a woman he saw.

2) When Jodha entered the room and saw the portrait, Jalal didn't look flummoxed that she'd caught him or anything. He didn't look like he was doing a mistake. He didn't have anything to hide. (Compare his reactions to how it was when Jodha came into the Hamam)

It rather looked like he was having some short term memory disorder and did something - didn't know what he'd done - and then realized it was that Hamam waali. He looked confused, even when he hugged Jodha like 'What am I doing?'

3) In the DEK, he changed the verdict as soon as he saw her and her dupatta flew away. Even with Jodha his true love, he's never done something so drastic in the DEK. Yes, he's given Jo the most leeway in her political/administrative/religious decisions, but after a few chats in their Hojra etc... after pondering on it in solitude etc 🤓

4) The way in which he held her hand in the precap look like he was being drawn towards her with no control of his own. 🤔

5) Atifa is supposed to be from Kabul and generally Kabul has never been good luck for Agra!😕

^^^ It is this that makes me think the CVs are combining the Bibi Daulat folktales + MC story and making a kichdi of their own!

Another thing - that shows me it is not love / lust, is he saw her first in the bathtub .. he was not so mesmerized that he forgot about Jodha ... instead he ran to Jodha and yelled at Atifa ... something has happened after

Other than black magic, I also think perhaps he had seen her somewhere before and that came out in the painting and he is investigating ... that is Tamy's hypothesis.

If he remembers her from somewhere, he wouldn't draw the picture of her AND THEN suddenly have to try to understand who it was that he'd drawn - followed by realizing that she was the one from the hamam.. that wouldn't make logical sense... if Atifa was familiar, her face would just be in his thoughts...that's all...

Also, if it was only familiarity he's investigating he wouldn't have to walk up to a married woman and hold her hand in front of everyone since that is defamatory to the woman in question - and this, when he doesn't have to earn Jodha's love etc (he knows he already has it)

But, he saw her for a fleet second and then maybe it jogged a memory and linked it back to the girl. But the whole sequence was shot weird suggesting there is more at play.

Okay black magic it is ... though I still don't know why he held her hand yet
