Mandy that's the reason that EK choose Akbar. No one is there to protest for him. That's why she get away easily even after butchering a great historical figure like Akbar. She could not have done it with some other king.

There is no wrong to focus jodha's role as intelligent, generous(obviously logically),bravery as she is 1 of main leads. But there r many bogus matters r focused in show those r sidelined Jalal. Look at in last 2 episodes where cvs focused on ruq's pain,jealousy,screeching,facial gesture after getting to know jo's pregnancey. Is it not totally faltu to show as we have already many times seen ruq's this form when something gud is happened with Jodha. What is novelty in these type scenes? Besides,nigar's character's exorbitant dragging, maham's ridiculous long nightmare etc for these type many redundant scenes r largely making sideline jalal. If cvs didn't show these gissa pita repeating scenes rather showed how did jalal convince nakhra baaz tanu pandy to b parmanent entertainer of his DEK n then the way of his tansen title is gotten by jalal then not only it would b focused jalal's character but also there would b added exclusive scenes in episode.

Secular and liberal figures like Akbar never have anyone to speak for them. Take the case of Akbar, he is hated by fundamentalist elements in both major communities. Agreed these are small in number, but they are vocal group. Akbar has the goodwill and support of the silent majority but he still has to face the ire of the vocal minority.

Even Aurangzeb does not suffer this. There is always some hardcore fringe group willing to espouse his cause but never Akbar.

But I don't worry about it, Ekta cannot harm Akbar. The 10 million people who watch this show are a tiny drop in India's population of 1300 million. And most of them are intelligent to understand that the real Akbar was not as shown in the serial. Their image of Akbar has been shaped by books, Akbar Birbal stories , movies like Mughal e Azam and Jodha Akbar. One serial is not going to change their opinions.

So, I just sit back and enjoy the occasional flashes of brilliance in the episodes, I ignore the rest. After all, it is not the first time that someone has tried to batter Akbar's image. It happens all the time in the Akbar Birbal stories, and yet Akbar is still remembered with reverence as a 'Great".

i do agree with you, i think we should just sit back and enjoy the once in blue moon brilliance rather than feeling hurt and cheated as there is nothing that can be done! only trps decide the fate and trp janta wants to watch nonsense then why bother showing logic..! donjas, you are a boy/man you will definitely enjoy yudh, do watch it on my recommendation, such masterpieces are very rare..its a political thriller and i feel that i am reading some sydney sheldon book now such type of thrillers excite me and give me the sheer pleasure of admiring cinema..a rare opportunity!
