As a jalal admirer I beg to differ on some points..

Though I dint like the torture scenes I wished jalal was not shown for two episodes rather than hot oil being poured on him...but evolution of jalal as a human being...

My heart has went out for him in this track

He has proved to be the real man who has the heart to attend the call of a sister who backstabs him.

Really a man of dignity who gave up the fight to save his sister.

He is not blinded by lust of power ...he cares for his sister his relations.

And yes now jalal will be free from any moral cliche..

but Jalal the human being is the winner in the track..

But jalal was always in every scene passively as the undercurrent ..an inspiration

His broad mindedness, remember the scene when he hands over shamsheer to jodha.

He's the same emperor who alone went to stop sati..he forced a ban had the guts to stop the deep rooted social vice.

I expected him to run after a woman in need..

Though I fully agree with you torture was not needed...they could have shown maan coming in an hour..and meanwhile mirchi war.

But truly proud of jalal as a man of honour..respect and principles.
