chapter 6

jalal walks towards her bed...she wraps her saree properly and then stands up...jodha" kya baat hai shehenshah app itni raat ko humare hojre mein...sab theek toh hai naa???"
jalal"haa jodha begum sab theek hai... hum baas yahaan aapse milne aaye the...hume aapse kuch puchna tha.."
jodha"puchye"
jalal"jodha begum woh aap thi naa??"jodha is taken back...she answers" kya shehenshah..aap kiske baare mein baat kar rahe hai..hume kuch samaj nahi aa raha" jalal"jodha begum aap acche tarah se janti hai ki hum kiske baare mein baat kar rahe hai" "hum jante hai ki woh aap hi thi jo diwaan-e-khaas mein aayi thi"
jodha is shocked she stammers while answering" hum...woh...aap...kya keh rahe hai shehenshah??? woh aurat hum kaise..??" jalal"yeh hum isliye keh rahe hai kyunki hume aapka nach pehle bhi dekha hai!! aur jiss adaa se woh nach rahi thi...ussi adaa se aap bhi nachti hai..."
jodha is taken back...she is unable to meet her eyes with her shehenshah...
jalal moves foward...he takes jodha hand...and says" woh aap hi thi jodha begum...hu jaante hai"
jodha wakes up!!!she is sweating...
moti comes to her" kya hua jodha koi bura sapna dekha aapne???"
jodha "moti tum soch bhi nahi sakti hume kya dekha" "moti hume neendh nahi aa rahi hai chalo baate karte hai"
moti"arrey ha jodha aap janti hai aap jab diwaan-e-khaas se chali gayi thi na...uske baad ek aur nachne wali aayi thi...uski sundarta ko dekh kar sara mahal chakit reh gaya...bohot sundar thi woh aur shehenshah toh paani paani ho chuke the!!" jodha smiles to herself" sach moti...shehenshah??"
moti"ha jodha...woh toh sirf ussi ko dekh rahe the..jaise aur koi waha nahi tha"
jodha remembers jalal staring at her and she blushes...
moti"waise jodha aap kyun chali gayi thi??? aur hum aapko shehenshah ki buri baat bata rahe hai aur aap muskura rahi hai??" jodha comes back from her dreamland and then says "moti hume ab neendh aa rahi hai hum sone jate hai"

jalal is in his room staring at the payal...he remembers her running away and her dance...he smiles...
then he looks at the payal again he remembers the first meeting with jodha when her payal had fallen down and he picked it up...he stares at the anklet in his hand again and he thinks kahi yeh jodha begum ka toh nahi hai!! then he say again...nahi jodha begum diwaan-e-khaas mein nahi nachegi...unme itni himmat nahi hai...
he goes to his shelf..and takes out jodha's anklet and stares at both and thinks...yeh dono toh ek jaise lagte hai...and then thinks ...woh aurat itne mehenge payal pehen rahi thi??!!!
then he just doozes off on the bed...

next morning...
jalal is in the balcony with the payal in his hand...benazir comes to him...she does salaam...jalal is in his thoughts...
benazir asks jalal..."kya baat hai shehenshah aap yeh payal ath mein lekar kya kar rahe hai..???"
jalal looks at her,jalal"benazir aap humara ek kaam karengi???"
benazir"farmaiye sheheshah"
jalal"aap yeh payal pehenye abhi"
benazir wears the payal...jalal asks her to walk around...jalal closes his eyes..he hears the sound of the payal...suddenly he opens his eyes...he thinks...yeh aawaaz to jodha begum ke payal ki aawaaz hai!!

next chapter: jalal is walking towards jodha...jodha sees the payal in his hand..she is shocked!!!!
