SMALL WONDERS

They came to Mumbai from cities like Ujjain and Jamshedpur to realise their dreams, and today, they are stars in their own right. Here's a look at those who made it and what they miss about their hometowns

The stories that we often see on TV serials " of young people moving to metros from small towns " could well reflect the lives of many telly actors themselves. We speak to some successful personalities who moved to Mumbai at a young age, about what they miss the most about their hometowns and their first reaction to Mumbai.

PARIDHI SHARMA

FROM: Indore, MP HIT SHOWS: Jodha Akbar I MISS the food in Indore. Though I didn't like any dishes in particular, the method of preparation is different there. And of course, I miss my family and friends. WHAT SHOCKED ME was the energy of the people in this city and their passion for life; it's contagious. It makes you want to work harder and make it big. Also what was more shocking was the fact that despite being in a crowded city, most people follow traffic rules.
