Bcoz EK believes that husbands should be licking their wife's feet 😆 All her shows have the same storyline. Only the starting is different 😆
This is why EK has always been criticised for her storylines.Unrealistic and OTT. Every show has its audience, which has been partitioned into two. One half is a combination of young teenage girls who still believe in fairytales(oh,those poor darlings) and middle ages auntyji-es who are sick of cooking for their nagging saasu-maa's 😆 This half keeps track of all shows happening on tv. Which wife is cheating on her husband, who is the murderer, who has had the plastic surgery. everything. They know for the fact that if the hero dies,he will return to take revenge 😆 I & B-information and broadcast team of the tv audience 😆 Then there is the other half. The working class. People who hardly get 1-2 hours off per day and switch on the tv to relax a bit. This half watches just one or two shows max. And expect only this-a bit of logic in the storyline.
But Balaji Telfilms has ALWAYS made shows for the first half. The other half can get lost. Who cares if u get only 1-2 hours off work? Who cares if you switch on the tv to forget about ur ownproblems and find some peace? BT only wnats to add onto ur problems. Now you have ur boss pressurising u at one end,and the other end,Tulsi and Parvati are about to discover that they have a step daughter.
And yes, coming to the point,EK's shows have always been female-centric. WOmen empowernmen and stuff.I would have supported it,if she actually made shows which addressed grave social evils like child marriage, rapes etc. But JA has been publicised as a romantic story between two powerful characters-Jodha and Akbar. But where is Akbar in the current storyline?
Even if they wanted to give women that sense of pride, they should portray the lead as an independent woman, who doesnt fear fighting against something which is wrong. And any such woman would not be with a man who looks at her for an answer every time he is in dilemma. He should also be independent. Fine he loves her and all,and comes to her when he really cant sort some things out,but a man who runs to his wife for every silly matter and has no sense of thinking of his own is nothing a but a coward.
Jalal in in the initial episodes was an independent, smart, witty and powerful character, who any girl could easily fall for. Only thing missing in him,was the fact that he didn't have anyone whom he could love. Love was supposed to strengthen him even more. But in this case, all it has done,is compromise his intelligence. It could have changed his sense of decision making, but here forget about change,he doesnt take decisions at all.
Which is just not done. Unrealistic. EIther the CVs are just stupid or they think that we are stupid. Sorry, but I cant be in love with a guy who needs me spoon feed him even when it comes to his own work. I'd let him do his work and would want him to let me do mine. No intrusion of any kind.
I miss the old Jalal.i really do. And I hope EK realises that Jalal is nothing without his wit. The essence of the show is lost without it.
And do I see a new nickname? "akbar fanatics" 😆 Sorry that I dont make a page long post every time Jodha sits or stands or blinks. That's what categorizes me as "akbar fanatic" right? 😆 Well,a fanatic would be someone who blindly appreciates every gesture the character does, whoever right or wrong they maybe. If we were fanatics,we would be celebrating even when Jalal devoted all his time to the harem instead of hsi kingdom. But that's exactly what we are NOT doing. I detest this Jalal.
As far as Ormax is concerned.I had to google what it was 😆 Know what I mean? Ormax decides the popularity? This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard all week.
Nobody gives a damn about Ormax, but people do give a damn about history. we dont have Ormax-ians,but we do have historians. 😆 This is the problem with most youngsters today, totally carefree and dont take pride in their own country's history. One should take pride in being in their culture and heritage. This is precisely why the English took advantage of us and looted as for over 200 years.
I'd rather want my kids engraved into history than spend their time googling about booze and drugs.
The internet audience accounts for hardly 10% of the total tv audience, and even if it is considered.Isnt it more logical and accurate if one considers voting done on a larger scale? Say,for award shows. The voting here is done on a much bigger basis, covering if not all,but the major target audience. The number of awards RT has won for his portrayal of Jalal speaks for itself, doesnt it?
even then if ormax is that big a deal, this poll is for the most popular fictional character isnt it? Jodha's character is fictional in its true sense and Jalal even if not now,for most part of it was much more realistic.
Hypothetically,if someone is overly sweet and nice to u,wouldn't you doubt their intentions? Maybe this is why I dont like this Jalal too. He is way too sweet. I just cant connect with characters like these.
