Hi this is a quick post made in a hurry.
These days I am just listening to the update from my mother and not even watching the show. 1. I am way too busy. 2. Family watches something else that time. So yesterday's episode disappointed everybody. But weren't we all expecting it? I knew it. But I didn't predict Jodha's hand in it. And, honestly, I wanted him to forgive Ruqaiya. It doesn't make a difference whether she understands or not. Fact is Jalal has become more mahan' because of this and credit partly goes to Jodha.
Now I have quit on Jalal versus Jodha which is a waste of time. Jodha lovers- take a treat. Jalal lovers(me included)- Jalal was an AWESOME husband who loves and pampers his wife like crazy and gives her credit for everything. Now, how many real life husbands do that? If they do, lucky wives. I would love a husband like Jalal. So why so much of confusion and hatred?
Stop comparing tracks people. For your own mental peace, just watch it like a show. Love it. Drool over Jalal. Applaud whenever something good happens and forget the bad. It wasn't that bad. We are just used to criticizing each and every thing. Yes, I understand sometimes there is no logic. Not for nothing is the TV called an IDIOT BOX. You don't need to watch TV for logic and reason; your life itself is logic and reason. Live it. TV is supposed to be what it is. Fiction. Leave it at that.
And remember Jodha Akbar is NOT the only show showing something illogical. I see so many shows proclaiming' to be based in Delhi, Bhopal, Indore and countless places and ending up showing Powai Lake and the tall buildings in Powai, Mumbai. We still watch all those things. Here, not naming any show for fear of creating a controversy. Requesting you to not mention any other show's name here. Please.
And really what was so illogical in Jalal forgiving Ruqaiya. If he slapped her and chided her and humiliated her in public, what is the difference between him and others? In Ramayana, when Raavan started cheating in the war, many urged Ram to do the same. But he refused saying he should maintain the difference between himself and Raavan. Similarly, Jalal did the right thing. So did Jodha.
In keeping a family together many sacrifices are made, many things hidden. That is precisely what these two did. Now, coming to why he hasn't forgiven Maham Anga. Firstly, she did something outrageous. She isn't forgiven because of the things she said during the confrontation. All that she said about she not wanting to be a nurse and she wanting power and position is NOT forgotten by Jalal. Her offence is not only against Jodha. It is also directly against Jalal in many ways than one. She openly admitted she was there for power and didn't care a damn about him THOUGH she yelled and shouted that she loved him.
Secondly, celebration time for Jodha lovers and Jalal lovers. This clearly proves Jodha's importance over... wait for it... NOT Ruqaiya. But Jalal. Think about it. Jalal could forgive someone who hurt him but NOT someone who hurt Jodha. And if you feel Jalal is getting less importance in comparison to Jodha's mahanta'. This is not the case. Think from a broader perspective.
An Emperor loving his wife so much that he regards her greater than himself. He is perfectly fine with her increasing popularity. Thus his popularity too will increase as a King who is not only a good administrator but one who regards women his equal and not his sub-ordinate. Women's rights, everyone. Why are you brooding. And, now PLEASE don't bring history here saying real Akbar wouldn't have done this, real Jodha wouldn't be like this, and so on and so forth. I do not want this topic closed.
So that is it I think for now. I rarely have time these days to even log on. It will be a long time till I make another. So bye everyone. Keep discussing, increase our forum ranks, keep gossiping, but do not keep criticizing and bashing. In here, it is thy benefit, me tells thee. Those CVs are stubbornest beings. Those keeps doing their wish. And never listens to others, I tell thee.
A little bit of Shakespeare there... LOL. Ta Ta... So long...
